Building on the success of their earlier iterations, the Vanguard 10x42 Endeavor ED IV Binocularsget upgraded with HOYA extra-low dispersion (ED) glass, phase-corrected SK-15 roof prisms, and their advanced MultiGuard optical coatings to improve light transmission, color rendition, clarity, and contrast while eliminating chromatic aberration. These updated technologies and materials, combined with an exceptional 65° wide apparent angle of view, work together to reduce the appearance of visible hand shake common in high-power binoculars to present an immersive observational experience on the trail, at the range, in the stadium, or sightseeing around town. To pick out feather and fauna details, the binoculars boast an impressive 5.9' close focus distance.

An open-bridge/dual-hinge design helps to reduce weight without sacrificing strength and provides a large surface area to improve grip strength and security. A: I haven't heard of an issue like this in a very long time. I believe the Model has been updated since that issue has occurred. They offer a great Limited 3-Year Warranty that does cover against this kind of Defect.

A: Personally I would go with the Swarovski EL 10x42 SwaroVision Binoculars. I have compared both models side by side in a low light setting, and the Swaro's are superior. There is a slight brightness difference. Also there is more glass in both barrels of the Swarovski's. Build quality wise it's a better binocular too.

Q: 6. I have the canon 10 x 42 stabilizer binoculars. What kind of battery fits into the slot that stabilizes the binoculars.

A: two AA batteries

Q: 7. what is the difference between ultravid hd and trinovid ?

A: The Ultravids are slightly better quality. The build construction is better too. The Ultravids are also made in Germany, and the Trinovid's are made in Portugal.

Q: 8. What is the difference between the Viper Vortex HD binoculars V200 and V201? Ten Dollars difference in cost.

A: The V200 is the 8x42 model. The V201 is the 10x42 model.

Q: 9. Does it works without battery , i.e as usual binocular?

A: Regarding the Canon 10x42 L IS WP Image Stabilized Binoculars, the visual optics will work without batteries. The IS requires batteries.

Q: 10. Is there any such thing as lens caps for these bad boys or would the best bet be lens hoods?

A: Yes, the Canon 10x42 L IS WP Image Stabilized Binoculars can take standard 52mm lens caps.

[42 mm] Excellent Quality at less cost than most other brands of binoculars. Sharp, bright, excellent color, no purple fringing, quality construction, nice comfortable strap, nice case, premium warranty. Used daily for bird watching and wildlife viewing. Outstanding Customer Service: I purchased these binoculars in mid Sept. 2012. My wife purchased a pair of Vanguard Spirit ED binoculars 1-2 weeks later. We each mailed the rebate coupon/form with receipt and UPC code to Vanguard in late Sept. 2012/ early Oct 2012. As of Feb. 2013 neither of us had received our rebates. I emailed Vanguard customer service and reported that we had not received our rebates. The next day I received a reply from Dana. She had checked their records and said checks #XXX & #YYY had been mailed to us in late Oct. 2012 but had not been cashed. After confirming our address, she placed a stop on the orginal checks and mailed new checks. A few days later both of us we received $50 rebate checks--$100 total. I am very impressed with the quality of the binoculars and especially the quality of customer service. 5

[-4 to +4] I've been a Vanguard fanboy since I picked up their $30 tripod at Kmart around 1990,and was amazed at their quality for what I was paying.After 2 decades of use,I moved up to 2 models of their tripods and ballheads and couldn't be happier-great quality and thoughtful design. These 10x42 binos continue that tradition.These are a Christmas gift,so they have only been checked briefly, but collimation seems to be spot on,CA is well controlled, eye relief and ergonomics are comfortable(for me anyway).love the locking diopter ring and captive objective caps.and they're very pretty! box says magnesium body. very nicely detailed materials. 5

[4.2 mm] I looked at all of the top brands before making this purchase. The Endeavor ED are crystal clear (almost like HD in binoculars). I've used many different types, and these are probably the best value I've ever had the please of using. I'd buy these many times over. 5

[10x] These binoculars are well made and the image is bright and clear. In fact, they have a brighter image than my Leupold Cascades. The only negative is the focus. The focus is just to fast. These binoculars will be out of focus with as little as 1/32 of an inch rotation. If extremely sensitive focus isn't an issue for you, then these binoculars are highly recommended. Can't imagine finding better for the price. 5

[Center] I was truly surprised and amazed how good these bins are for the size of the investment. I am a professional photographer used to very high quality optics and used to looking at expensive glass - no need to with these! For 1/10th of the price of very high end glass, these bins do more than you might normally expect! Fast and easy focus, excellent ergonomics, nice style, very good glass and very, very well priced! In my opinion, simply put, the added cost of highest end glass does not improve your optics by enough of a margin to make that higher investment worthwhile relative to these. Buy them - you'll love them! 5

[Center] i took a lot of time to look at reviews for binoculars. i wanted to use it for birding and a litle astro. ...the endeavor is the best out of 29 mid price binoculars.... the endavor is the best value for money binoculars for 2012 ... i can say i was not diappointed. this is definitively a worth money. 5
