Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Where can I find just the red rubber grip washer attached to this product please?

A: Try the company 16x9 in California. They importer Noga arms into the US.

Q: 2. I just got this in the mail. Why is the arm greasy? It's like someone sprayed it w/ WD40.

A: Noga Cine Arm DG Hold-It Arm has bit of grease when you pick it up from the box. This is use as lubricant, I will recommend cleaning up the surface if you notice any grease after cleaning the articulated arm it will be consider as defective.

Q: 3. What's the difference between this one Noga Cine Arm DG Hold-It Arm B&H # NODG9014CA MFR # DG9014CA and this one Noga DG9038CA CineArm DG (Medium) B&H # NODG9038CA MFR # DG9038CA? They look the same!! I know one has a 3/8 instead of a 1/4 bottom. I'm using for a shogun flame..thank you guys!!

A: The DG9014 is threaded at both ends of the arm for 1/4-20 thread attachment while the DG9038CA is 1/4-20 top and 3/8-16 bottom.

Q: 4. What is the difference between the Rokinon 50mm T1.5 And the Rokinon 50mm T1.3? Is the 1.5 version sharper? It’s a lot heavier? Is this a older version? Different Performance at high frame rate?

A: The lenses are very similar but the main difference is the lower F-stop of the T1.3 Cine Lens version, and the lens coatings. The T1.3 Cine Lens has a coating to reduce lens-flares while the T1.5 DS Lens coating makes it more closely color-matched to other DS lenses in the set.

Q: 7. Does this umbrella provide uv protection? Can it be used with most camera tripods?

A: The ORCA Outdoor Production Umbrella with Cine Clamp (XL) does not block UV rays. The handle has a 3/8"-16 socket, and most tripods have a 3/8"-16 screw to attach the tripod head. To attach the umbrella to the tripod head requires the Oben 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Reducer Bushing, BH #OB1039.

[0.425 lb] I SHOOT TELEVISION NEWS AND THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST RELIABLE ARTICULATING ARM I HAVE USED. SMART DESIGN, GOOD WORKMANSHIP, QUALITY MATERIALS. I ALSO LIKE THE QUICK RELEASE FUNCTION , QUICK SWAP OUT OF LIGHTS DEPENDING ON THE JOB, OR ADDING A MONITOR IF NEEDED. I WOULD BUY AGAIN BUT THIS IS GOING TO LAST A LONG TIME.

[0.425 lb] I have piles of small articulating arms that are useless holding anything where I want it without wandering. Finally, I have one that works. The quick release included with this kit lets me place a monitor on the arm without having to spin it around, a great feature.
The pile of useless articulating arms probably adds up to the cost of this one arm. But it is worth finally getting one that actually does what it says it will do for its load rating.
You get what you pay for, a lesson I seem to have to learn over and over with video gear.

[0.425 lb] The Cine Arm is really well made and locks my on-camera monitor securely to the desired position. The Cine Lock kit saves a lot of time from having to hassle with assembly. It's definitely worth the price.

[0.425 lb] I've gone through many magic arms for mounting EVF, Monitors, sound devices, on-camera lights. The Noga arms are still by far the most solid and flexible. Although they tend to be a little heavier than some of the other magic arms, they are still my first choice for flexibly mounting devices to my rigs. Make sure you choose the right length for your needs!

[0.425 lb] The reason behind buying this unit was to hold field monitor to a tripod. The quick release plate is invaluable as rather than attempting to screw on the monitor every time the base plate remains on and it slides and locks into place. Too many times have I come close to dropping the Small HD whilst trying to screw it on some other arms. The other great advantage is the tightening lever which is so easy to turn and locks the entire arm in place; compared to trying to twist a circular knob on other models. It is certainly worth the investment.
