Ideal for security surveillance, watching night skies, and night hunting, the Newcon Optik 8x 3rd Gen Night Vision Bi-ocularfrom Newcon Optik 8x 3rd Gen Night Vision Bi-ocularfeatures a 3rd generation autogated intensifier tube with a resolution of 64 lp/mm. Its autogating feature provides resistance to bright light, reduces degradation, and helps improve tube life. To maximize image brightness in the lowest of lighting conditions, and in complete darkness, the bi-ocular carries a built-in infrared illuminator and a wide catadioptric objective lens with a 218mm focal length and f/2 f-number. With 8x magnification, the lens system enables you to make observations at a considerable range with an angular field of view of 5°. The bi-ocular also offers a diopter adjustment and a variable interpupillary distance.

To allow you to use it anywhere, the housing is made of high quality aluminum and offers waterproof performance and can be submersed to a depth of 3.3' for 30 minutes. Its rubber winged eyecups prevent spillover of light from the tubes and offer comfortable cushions between the orbits of your eyes and eyepieces.

A: Every camera company has their own mount and therefore there is no one adapter to buy. The Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Biotar 58mm f/1.5 II Lens for Sony E can be used with any Sony E mount camera.

[33' / 10 m] This is a really well designed pair of binoculars. Small enough to fit in a fairly large pocket, light enough that you don't really feel them if you hang them around your neck. At 4x it's easy for even old hands to hold them steady enough for casual viewing. All of the mechanics of focus adjustment (except for the right eyey diopter adjustment) is internal to the case so they don't change length when one changes the focal distance. Add to that they focus closeup at about 20 inches and you have something handy enough to use for every day carry. 5

[Yes, Built-In] I heard alot of complaints about AGM before buying a pvs-14 but I couldn't pass up on this deal. Tube is in excellent condition, the only complaint I would have is that in the q&a a staff member said this is white phosphor which it is not. This is a NL2 not and NW2. Still worth the price especially with the free thermal. 5

[218mm f/2] Bought these because the other PVS14s I ordered from a smaller business had yet to ship after a whole month. B&H shipped them out same day, and they arrived 30 hours after the order was placed. Amazing. The PVS14s are awesome. My first NVG but it's really cool. Not sure what else to say about it, no blemishes on the tubes, good visibility in pitch black, everything works as intended. 5

[218mm f/2] This binocular is very lightweight, compact, and very sharp lens and has a great reticle. It has an excellent value for money 5

[64 lp/mm] Image quality is very good, true to color, despite the small 18mm lenses they are very good in low light. I used them as opera glasses and they are perfect due to their clarity and the wide field of view. Outdoors they are also nice to use due to the wide field of view. I didn't think the close focussing distance of about 20 inch is very useful but it turns out it's nice to look at flowers, butterflies, frogs and other shy wildlife. They are also super lightweight. That helps a lot for their use as Opera glasses. They seem to be sturdy though. The right diopter once adjusted seems to stay the same throughout the entire focussing distance. The lenses are recessed and well protected from accidental touching and scratches. The eye relief is good. The only drawbacks I can think of is that they might not be the most robust Bino's due to their lightweight construction and the overall look of the white plastic housing looks a bit cheap. A grey-ish finish like expensive DSLR lenses would have been better. The ocular rubber can be folded over to use them with glasses on. This is a bit cumbersome when you hand the binoculars back and forth to your partner who doesn't have glasses. A system like on my 8x20 Zeiss binoculars would have been better. 5
