Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the yellow foam dividers be arranged so that it has a long, narrow divider to hold light stands, as is the case for most light stand cases? The sizes of the foam in the pictures don’t appear to allow this, but I could be wrong.

A: The yellow foam dividers included with the Pelican 1615AirWD Wheeled Hard Case with Divider Insert (Black) cannot be configured in one continuous long, narrow divider to hold light stands.

Q: 2. Can a Skypanel S60 with accessories fit in this case?

A: I am unsure of what a skypanel actually looks like, but my Pelican case is 28 inches long by 14 inches wide by 8 inches deep inside.

Q: 3. Does it only come with bright-yellow padded dividers? Is there no black padded divider option? The photo with the yellow dividers hurts my eyes. :)

A: The options for the Pelican 1615 Air Case is to purchase the empty case, the padded dividers (only available in yellow), the Pick-N-Pluck foam, or the TrekPak insert. If you want a divider setup instead of foam, but do not want the yellow padded dividers, then the only other option would be the aforementioned Pelican 1615AirTP Wheeled Check-In Case (Black, with TrekPak Insert), B&H # PE1615ACTPBK.Pelican stated in their Press Release for the new Air cases that the Padded Dividers have been newly redesigned with a fully-sewn tub, felt exterior and high-visibility yellow interior, making it easier to identify equipment. The TrekPak system is a completely new divider system with rigid, customizable panels and locking pins.

Q: 4. Is there a lid organizer for this case? I can't find one anywhere.

A: No, there is not. Unfortunately, Pelican has not developed a lid organizer solution for the 1615 Air case.

Q: 5. ok to carry on an airplane?

A: This model is not Carry On Size Approved.

Q: 6. does it fit the Impact Link Air-Cushioned Light Stand (12') light stands?

A: Unfortunately Impact Link Air-Cushioned Light Stand (12') is too large and won't fit inside of Pelican 1615AirTP Wheeled Hard Case with TrekPak Divider Insert System (Black)

Q: 7. Is the foam set precut and pluked out or is it solid and I can custom cut?

A: It's sold where you can custom pluck or cut the foam. It's full when you first get it.

Q: 8. Does this case have a lid organizer?

A: Mine came with a foam insert for the lid. Great for camera gear on a motorcycle.

Q: 9. Could someone confirm the overall interior dimensions WITH the TrekPak padding? I only see dimensions of the bare case. Thanks!

A: The dimension of the case with the trekpak is 28..5 x 14.5 x 8.5.

Q: 10. How many pro zoom lenses will this hold and camera bodies? I have 2 bodies and 6 lenses and 3 flashes.

A: It will easily handle all that gear. It's quite large. I would think you could get three full-size bodies, 6-8 lensws, 3 or 4 strobes.

[Handle] This matches the bulb carrier that comes with the standard two diva lite kit. It does a good job holding the extra bulbs and holds them tightly.

[Handle] Ive played around with a few different LED options and this is by far my favorite. Ive always loved kino for the softness of the light and the low power consumption. The Diva-Lite 30 really sells you the moment you turn it on. I do a lot of one man band shooting in hospitals and other corporate offices. the ability to completely control the light to the temperature I need is amazing. and who hasnt had fun with the built in effects?

[30 lb] I was considering purchasing 1x1 LED lights from another manufacturer, but after months of comparisons, I decided to pay a little more for the LED Diva. I received the light a day earlier than promised from B&H. The build is sturdy, very similar to the original fluorescent Divas. My old Floziers work perfectly, although I may never need them. This light looks very bright yet soft. The menu is easy to navigate, and dialing in the color temperature and brightness level is quick and simple. Love the many built-in gels to match any look that you are used to. You can dial in any RGB color, although I am not sure I will ever use that feature. I can't wait to use this light on an interview shoot, which is mostly what I need it for. My colleague has 2 Kino-Flo Celebs, but he said he likes this light better, and plans to buy a couple for himself. The soft case is basic but well made and suited for local use. I plan to buy another light soon, along with the hard 2-light case for air travel. As long as I get years of worry free use like I did with other Kino-Flo lights, I think they are well worth the price. I have some older fluorescent studio Kinos for sale if anyone needs them :-)

[47 x 17 x 11"] I usually rent a large G&E truck package for all my shoots as a DP. However I bought this light because it's so useful and I was requesting it on every job anyway. Need a last minute eyelight? Here you go. Want to arm out a top-light or kicker? This is your guy. It pulls out of the case and is up and running in seconds, and is easy to battery-power for remote shoots. The egg crate is solid and provides focused soft light, or you can remove it for more intensity and spread. With wireless DMX built-in, it's just an all around low-weight useful light that's full RGB with handy FX options. And Kino's color science is among the best. Very happy with it.

[47 x 17 x 11"] There is a reason to spend this much on a light, it does what other lights fail to do well. Precise color temperature, magenta/green hue adjustment, RGB colors. Also, there is little to no change in output while making color adjustments. I find it provides plenty of well-diffused output, and it's great at matching with other lights or lighting situations.

[Handle] Spent quite a bit of time looking at Kino Flo lights and other lights in the class. Hands down this is the best lighting available. Spot on with color accuracy. Color does not shift or vary when the amount of power is reduced. Attention to detail is incredible. This is a 'no joke' light and is intended for the serious film or content creator.

[Handle] I really like this light panel. In fact within a week of receiving it, I ordered a second one. The menu is very intuitive, really no directions needed and Kino Flo has a complete listing of all the filters and numbers available on their website. The light output is very uniform to my eye. Color temperature is pretty much spot on. I've tried other light panels and this one in my opinion is the best value out there right now. Very satisfied!

[Handle] I don't see any other solution for Kino bulbs. I was excited to see that this case DOES have the dividers between the bulbs like the T12 cases do. The picture doesn't show that it does...but it does. Also the picture doesn't show that the case has a carrying handle, but it does have a carrying handle (not the velcro that is shown) in the middle of the case. The side velcro spots however are there as shown in the picture. I saw other reviews saying how flimsy this is or that it's just piece of cardboard??? I don't know if those people are new to the world of Kino Flo, but this case is plenty durable. The whole point of Kino Flo is the material that the lighting is made of to keep the fixture super lightweight. It may seem flimsy to the eye/touch but I assure you it's VERY durable. With that said, you are carrying bulbs so you wouldn't want to toss a pelican case on top of this case....although they would actually probably be just fine
