Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I thought this paper could be used with the Epson Surecolor P800?

A: This paper can be used with a Surecolor P800.

Q: 2. Should I choose the Exhibition Fibre paper profile or Epson Luster, as some have mentioned? I'm using an Epson p600 printer. Many thanks!

A: You should use the profile for the given paper if Epson has it available. Although the Exhibition Fibre Paper from Epson has been changed recently. You might want to check that with Epson.

Q: 3. does this paper compatible with Epson R3000 printer?

A: Not sure, but works well with the Pro-3800

Q: 4. Has anyone tried this paper with Epson et 8550?

A: Yes. I use Epson Print Layout for printing and I am happy with black and white prints on this paper when I use the ABW mode (media type = Ultra Premium Photo Paper Luster, tone = dark). An ICC profile for color printing is available on the Epson website.

Q: 5. I used Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper (13 x 19 , 25 Sheets) and it was an amazing paper. Now I need to print my photographs larger with the same paper and quality, and I would like to know What is the differences between that paper and this one? Or if they are the same.

A: To be honest I have only use a small amount of the sheets but have use hundreds of feet of the rolls.Im not sure if the thickness is the same but they are close. The quality of the prints are exactly the same. I use the same ICC profile for both and ive seen no difference.

Q: 6. Is Epson Exhibition Fiber considered "archival"?

A: No, this Epson Exhibition Fiber Paper (17 x 22", 25 Sheets) is not archival (acid free).

Q: 7. Does this paper contain optical brighteners? And if so, do we have any information on archival quality? Would there be a difference in longevity of b&w vs. color prints?

A: Exhibition Fiber is a 325-gsm paper with an exceptional white base and is capable of deep, rich blacks. While it has a fiber paper base and is acid-and lignin-free, it does contain optical brighteners. According to Wilhelm Research, framed under UV glass using pigment inks, they say about 150 years. Album/dark storage is around 200 years. This is for both black and white, and color using pigment inks.

Q: 8. Where can I find IIC profiles for this paper and a Epson 3880?

A: Try the Pixel Genius website. I just downloaded the free profile. Since I am not allowed to put the link here, search on Pixel Genius Epson Exhibition Fiber.

Q: 9. Is this paper glossy on both sides? Looking for a good weight paper to build packaging mockups.

A: No, this paper is not mat finish but it is not glossy on the back side .

Q: 10. Does this paper use the Photo Black or Matte Black cart in the P600/P800?

A: The Epson Legacy Fibre Paper (8.5 x 11", 25 Sheets) uses a smooth matte black.

[Cotton Rag] I have evaluated this paper and I am pleased with the image quality with deep blacks and bright whites. I recommend it to everyone to try for themselves. It is less expensive that other papers in teh same category.

[Single] Easily some of the best Media I've used so far.

[Single] I had high hopes for this paper when I purchased it. I've had high hopes before and been disappointed with printing media and printers. This paper was outstanding. The depth of the black and whites I printed feel are the same as darkroom quality. The paper feels amazing and the images are complemented by the incredible surface of this paper. Each print belongs in an art gallery. A+

[Glossy] This is one of my favorite papers. I use it for both black and white and color images. The results have been stunning. The slight warmth is great for my B&W images. The paper needs to dry down about 48 hours to really see the full richness. I use my old drying racks to let them air out. The paper ha a minor texture which is very pleasing. The paper can be viewed at multi angles with no problems.

[305 gsm] Great paper for color or b&w. Landscapes or portrait work. Makes me long for a larger printer.

[Glossy] I print black and white fine art photos using this paper. It has deep rich tones that feels close to darkroom fiber paper. Probably my favorite paper.

[305 gsm] Whether in B&W or color, I use this now for finished prints. Great feel and just the right amount of luster. I have many different papers on hand, but find this very pleasing.

[Cotton Rag] I've only printed B&W so far but that is what I usually print. The prints look fantastic. I like the feel of rag papers. The surface has a sheen when viewed from an angle - not a glossy surface but not like a matte paper. When viewed normally the surface disappears and the print looks great. Nice deep blacks but not a glossy paper. Recommend it.

[305 gsm] This is one of my favorite papers. I use it mainly for color, but does fairly well with bw. The surface is very nice, I find moab's colorado sattine to be a thinner 'luster' version of the Juniper. (also like the colorado) Moab's profiles are always on point with my canon pro 1 and they perform better than the profiles I made with my color munki. I've used a lot of Moab's products and they've never failed me. They might not be the most exceptional paper out there but between quality, consistency, profiles, and cost, you can't go wrong. I will be using Moab's products for a long time.
