[3 watt LED] I have several old film cameras and I find this material works very well for replacing the deteriorated light seals in these cameras. I use the 1.5 mm thickness mostly for this purpose, but I have also used the 2.0 mm to replace the mirror bumpers in SLRs. I make and cut out a pattern on card stock, then trace it onto the backing of this foam for cutting. The only trick is to be sure to orient the pattern so the backing side is the one that will orient to the proper camera contact surface. 5

[0.4 lb] The foam cushions on my two Pentax 6x7 viewfinders were crumbling and no longer effective. The Japan Hobby Tool foam was a great replacement, as it was easy to cut and put in place. Looks as good as new. 5

[3 watt LED] I used this to both repair light seals on a medium format camera and to create a mask for scanning negatives. The backing isn't too hard to separate, and the glue material sticks well. 5

[3 watt LED] Good adhesive backing, not too dense of foam either. Recommend using a fresh Xacto knife on this, dull blades tend to make foam curl and bunch when cutting. 5

[3 watt LED] I bought this to do fix a Yashica Electro 35 that was in desperate need of new light seals, and it seems to have done the trick! It's stretchy, easy to cut, and it feels nice in the hands. The adhesive is strong. 5

[0.4 lb] I recently bought this product from B&H after I could not find a service to do light seal replacement on my Nikon FG. I suggest cutting the foam with the paper side up to give a clean cut using an Exacto knife, a metal straight edge, and a cutting board. I used rubbing alcohol to allow me to position the foam. Great product and highly recommended. 5

[0.4 lb] I have used this stuff (in different thickness) to replace light seals in old cameras where the foam has deteriorated with age. It works very well in old Ricoh G models as well as others. I have also used it to replace the mirror bumpers in old SLR cameras too. If you use older film cameras this is good stuff to keep on hand. 5
