This straight-viewing Barska 20-60x65 WP Spotting Scope Straight Blackin black from Barska 20-60x65 WP Spotting Scope Straight Blackmakes the ideal companion at the range, in the field, or on the trail. At the low 20x magnification, it can be used for taking in expansive views and finding your subjects, while dialing it up to 60x gives you the capability of making detailed observations—even at long distances. The scope's large 65mm objective, combined with fully multi-coated optics, draws in copious amounts of light, giving it competent low-light performance such as at dawn or dusk, or when trying to pick game out from under heavily-canopied forests. With its eyepiece set in-line with the orientation of the optical tube, finding and tracking subjects is faster and easier versus an angled configuration eyepiece.

To withstand the rigors of a life lived outdoors, the housing is nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be water and fogproof—even in extreme conditions. The exterior is wrapped in a protective rubber armor that is textured to provide a slip-resistant grip when setting up and breaking down. To further protect the scope on the trail, Barska includes a soft stay-on/view-through case. An extendable shade slides out to reduce glare on sunny days to improve image quality and helps to keep rain or snow off the objective if the weather turns. Helping to get you observing faster, also included is a tabletop tripod with a pan/tilt head.

Q: 2. I am looking for a tripod that suits this spotting scope, I would like it to extend to 60 inches, can you recommend?Something not too expensive

A: I would recommend the Magnus VT-4000 Tripod System with Fluid Head. This model goes up to 59 max in height. But quality and price point it is very good. Website link: a href= http://bhpho.to/1dvMomo target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1dvMomo/a

Q: 3. We purchased the scope, it states it is waterproof. We have water and fogging inside the scope. What is our next step in checking into this. Can it be sent to manufacturer or you for repair?

Q: 6. Is the eye piece threaded? I want to attach a digiscope adapter so I can get a camera on there

A: No, although I believe an adaptor is available for a camera. [Straight] Great clarity and value for the cost but you will have to acquire a much more stable tripod for using at long-distance.

[Straight] No complaints. Good quality for what I paid, and B&H continues to offer the best price point on optics as well as the free shipping. I am pleased with the included hard case, soft case, and tripod. Lastly, B&H's shipping department is top notch - the scope arrived well packaged and within days of placing the order.

[Straight] Yes, as other's have mentioned the eye relief is very tight, but the build quality and glass is very good. Managed to range a tree at 270yds and can see very clearly. Will test on range but my feeling is when used with splatterburst targets it will work for me. For the money, don't think you can do much better!

[1/4"-20 Female] My first spotting scope and taken it out a few times. It has a clear picture even on full zoom. I imagine if you spend the +$1-3K more on a scope side by side you'd have a noticeable difference but for a couple hundred I feel like its a solid buy. BAK 4 lens, angled, adjustable tripod collar. An adjustable height tripod would be a good follow up buy, or maybe a window mount. the tripod isn't very impressive but workable.

[20 to 60x] I use this from my balcony to view vessels on the water and anything else worth viewing. The view is crystal clear and the magnification is amazing. Easy to operate and long as you know which dial turn. The eyepiece could be improved.

[20 to 60x] I bought this scope to use at my outdoor rifle range for 100 yrds plus! I could see the targets with my rifle scope and binoculars but I could not see the impact holes! This scope does the job with ease at 100yrds and when i get back, Im going to try it at 200 and Im sure it will be just as good! Worth the money!
