The Manfrotto MT190X3 Aluminum Tripod is an addition to the popular 190 series, adding a Quick Power Lock System, ground level adapter, and an Easy Link attachment. It can hold up to 33 lb of gear, and has a maximum height of 63". The ground-level adapter replaces the center column to allow the tripod's mounting plate to sit just 3.5" above the ground with the legs at their widest angle.

The QPL system allows the three leg sections to be completely extended with one hand for simple set up. An Easy Link adapter attachment allows instant connection between tripod and accessories, such as LED lights for macro photography and DSLR video applications using Manfrotto articulated arms and brackets. Each leg can be set at four different angles to accommodate uneven ground or rough terrain.

A: Hi, Gustavo I have a pleasure to answer your question. Well I think you can just buy another sleeve for thus model and your tripod will work normally. Or for safety you can buy an other head with the sleeve and you will have extra assembly just in case if you lost something else. Hope my answer will satisfy your choice to do.

A: Loosen the set screw under the base of the column. Tighten the pan adjustment knob of your fluid head and give it a quick turn counterclockwise to unscrew the head.

Q: 6. I have a Caon G30 CC that I want to mount to this tripod. The CC has a 1/4 screw mount and this tripod has a 3/8 screw. Is there a add on to fix this problem?

A: The 3/8 screw is what is used to connect the head to the tripod. The tripod has a quick release plate with a 1/4 screw that use to connect the camera to the head.

Q: 7. The specs say it has a leveling bubble. I haven't used this type of head before, how easy or difficult is it to level a camera when it's on this tripod/head kit? Thanks.

A: It does not have a level. Its a decent tripod for video and stills IF you avoid using the center column and heavy tele lenses.

A: Yes, the pan handle can be removed from the head.

[3/8"-16 Male] This is a step up from a $50 tripod I used with my old spotting scope for about 20 years. I got a Vanguard HD scope (82mm) and wanted a tripod worthy of the task. This will certainly do it. I've been waiting for years for this upgrade, and this tripod is a huge part of it. I seriously expect this to be my last tripod. Seems very thoughtfully designed and well made. Pros: SOLID. Very good platform for my scope. Metal shoe for the QR plate is nice as well. Smooth. Pans and tilts very well. No stutter, no inconsistency. Cons: It isn't light. This is also a bit of a pro in my opinion as it keeps things stable in the wind. But carrying it around is a bit of a chore. A good strap helps a lot. Note: The head comes attached, but the set screw is not set, so the head will unscrew until you take care of this. I found tightening the head down, turning in the set screw, then cranking on the head to get it to loosen any and turning in the set screw more made it very solid and only took a few minutes. If you fully remove the head and see the waves in the base this makes sense. You want the screw to be in one of the valleys. 5

[Flip Lock] Just picked this up on B&H's Tripod Tuesday sale, and I really like it. Feels very solid, yet not too heavy to carry around. It's going to do an excellent job of handling the cameras I use. 5

[Aluminum] I bought this tripod for use with birding telescopes. It sets up easily thanks to the flip-locks on the legs and carries comfortably thanks to the insulated grip on one let (and the tote bag). I like the double-lever lock on the head's quick mount and the smooth pan and tilt. Image quiver damps fairly fast, but not instantly, after panning. For the purpose it is close to ideal. The only drawback is that the first leg splay setting is a bit too narrow and the others are rather wide. I'd have had the first setting about 5 degrees wider for each leg. As it is the first two splay settings are I'll be really careful and wow, this thing takes up real estate. Something in between would be nice. On the plus side, it's easy to switch between leg splay settings. 5
