These studio-grade monitor headphones are designed to deliver a flat, high-resolution signal, giving you an accurate stereo picture and faithful sound reproduction. As such, they're perfect for studio use, music production at home, or for personal listening.

The lightweight construction provides comfortable monitoring even during lengthy, extended sessions.

The HPH-MT7 headphones feature 40mm drivers equipped with CCAW voice coils and powerful neodymium magnets. Made from aluminum wire that's been coated in highly conductive copper, these drivers provide a frequency response of 15 Hz to 25 kHz and deliver a flat and high-resolution sound that meets the demands of professional monitoring.

From the arms to the earcups, all acoustic components in the HPH-MT7 headphones have been designed to deliver an accurate sound by eliminating extraneous resonances.

For professional users, it is important that headphones aren't fatiguing during extended listening sessions. Also, headphones should provide isolation to enable maximum concentration while working. The HPH-MT7 headphones provide both comfort and isolation.

The HPH-MT7 headphones utilize a sleek, stylish design with a closed-back over-ear configuration.

HPH-MT7 headphones are equipped with large ear pads for a comfortable fit. Smooth synthetic leather and low-resistance cushions absorb excess vibrations.

A three-dimensional arm-pivot construction and adjustable slider allows the angle of the earpads to fit the shape of the wearer's head to a T, helping to alleviate fatigue when working for extended periods. The headphones also feature moveable earcups, allowing single-ear monitoring when required.

These headphones have been designed to make users aware of the cable without being hindered by it, while providing enough length for monitoring applications where mobility is a consideration. The detachable straight 3m cable comes with a corrosion-resistant gold-plated 3.5mm plug and a gold-plated 1/4" stereo adapter.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this receiver work with Harman Kardon home theatre product HKTS 16 ?

A: This receiver is stereo (2-channel) and will not connect to the HKTS 16 which is a 5.1 channel surround sound speaker system.

Q: 2. Does the cable disconnect from the headphones, being easily replaceable?

A: No, cable is hard wired to the headphones.

Q: 3. whats the difference between the hd25 plus & the hd25-1 II?

A: The HD 25-1 II have a wider range than its less expensive HD 25-SP II. According to reviews, the HD 25-1 II are worth the extra money and sound fantastic for general music listening in addition to DJing.

Q: 4. would this case work for the Sony MDR-MV1 headphones?

A: The Sony MDR-MV1 Open-Back Reference Monitor Headphones BH #SOMDRMV1 will work with the Sony Carrying Case for MDR-7500 Series Studio Headphones BH #SOLCMDRG

Q: 5. connecting R-S202 to Pioneer FS52 Floor standing speakers should I use regular wiring or bi-wiring? Which is one is better?

A: The Yamaha R-S202 Stereo Receiver with Bluetooth (Black), B&H # YARS202BL, should sound more or less identical regardless of whether it has standard wiring or bi-wiring. Bi-wiring can potentially reduce resistance within the wiring, but this difference would likely not be audible on any equipment being used outside of a professional studio, and therefore wouldn't make much of a difference on this particular receiver.

Q: 6. What are the outside dimensions of this case?

A: 10 at the tallest point x 9.5 at the widest point x 4 at the deepest point. Just happened to have a tape measure by the computer.

Q: 7. What about power voltage? Is it available at 220V?Do you have a pre-voltage product?

A: B&H only offers the 120VAC 60 Hz model.

Q: 8. Is this mute switch quiet? How noticeable is the mute switch for livestreaming? Also will this pre-amp drive a gain hungry microphone?

A: Yes, the mute switch on the Yamaha AG03MK2 3-Channel Mixer & USB Audio Interface is quiet and can be used to silence the audio while livestreaming. The input gain level for a microphone is most likely not going to be sufficient for a mic that requires a lot of gain. If you have a dynamic microphone that requires high gain, you may need to use a separate booster or preamp to supply the gain needed for your mic.

Q: 9. Would this be stable enough to hold my new MacBook Pro 16" that sits on the Rain Design mStand?

A: The K&M 26774 Desktop Stand for Medium-Sized Studio Monitor has a weight capacity of 33 lbs and would be sturdy enough to hold a laptop as described, however it is designed ideally to hold a studio monitor speaker.

Q: 10. Do these headphones have both a microphone and volume control in-line?

A: Sorry about that, they have a single button for calls but no volume. I haven't played with it to see what else it can do besides answer calls.

[1/4" TRS] After a miserable encounter with Guitar Center and my money being held hostage for 3 weeks when I had nothing of theirs. Anywho...
B&H was same price. I saved on the taxes by getting a Payboo card. And the gear was shipped very fast. I’m an overly excited with my new layout and the speakers sound great. Great for a small home studio.

[Closed-Back] I bought these to supplement a mixing setup with larger 10 speakers, and they do a great job giving me a new perspective, especially monitoring EQ adjustments in the mid-range and high-end. I also bought a Mackie Big Knob to flip back and forth quickly, and love being able to keep the energy up while I check my mix quickly on the different speakers. Highly recommend to take your studio and mixes to the new level.

[Closed-Back] I tested the 50 and 150B Yamaha headphones to hear the same brand N3X hybrid piano.  Dont let anyone tell you that the 50 model is sufficient to hear your digital piano.  First, sound quality is so far above in every category of sound duplication. My wife told me that she actually looked to check if she had plugged in headphone---it was that realistic. Next, comfort, from the material around the ears, padding for the top of your head, even the simple 90 degree angling of the plug ( for finding blind spots under the keyboard ) makes using  this very pleasant. This model has one wire reaching up to your head over your shoulder, instead of the stuck- on- your- chest 2 wire on the 50 model.  After spending so much for a digital keyboard, why water down the experience for a few bucks ?

[Closed-Back] So they are great. It's strange that they aren't more popular than they should be. The sound it's perfectly balanced which is great for mixing.

[49 Ohms] My go-to cans for casual listening, podcasts, and editing. Lightweight, durable, excellent overall sound. Read the reviews. Surprised these don't more love. Sure, for about triple the price, I would go with the Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X model, but these Yamaha's are really fine for most people who aren't doing high-end monitoring / editing for a living.

[Stereo] I had read a lot of reviews about these and the lack of bass response. I really like the tone of these. A flat response with a very pro monitor mid range ie tone. Not sure how to discribe other then the tone is Very clean and crisp. I was thinking I would get the sub woofer as these are not only for mixing audio for my pro video projects but also for my own entertainment system. In my small room the bass is plenty. I may or may not buy the sub. When I crank it up I do notice the high end and high end mid range get a little brash. In my small room there is not a need to really do that. I’m very happy and it truly feels like a pro product, unlike many of the others I checked out in this league.

[Gold] Wide, reasonably smooth frequency response. I found they needed very little EQ. Clean highs and none of the gritty midrange of some other inexpensive headphones. Don't get brutal with the wires and they'll be fine. For $35 they are a winner.
