[52x] Thus far, the TY tech found in CMC media does seem to have the higher percentage of good discs. I've been using them for years, and it's my go to for CD recording.

[Single] I've been using Taiyo Uden CD-Rs for my clients for years. When JVC bought them, I was a little nervous. When CMC bought them, I was also nervous. So far so good. I don't make a lot of CDs here, but I do want them to be right. A previous supplier has stopped carrying them. I was happy to see that my friends at B&H picked them up.

[CD-R] Best quality CD-Rs one can find,

Great for saving uncompressed music- WAV-format.

[3.42 lb] PROS: High Quality, coated to near the center spindle, white CD-R's for printer marking and CD burning.
CONS: These are delivered with "pancake stacked", plastic wrapped packaging. No center spindle case. So if you have an earlier case available, use it to protect these discs once the wrapper is gradually peeled off to access more discs for burning!
The legacy of these items is ongoing! First Taiyo Yuden, then JVC, and now CMC. But the quality seems to be retained throughout these corporate transitions.�

[100] Great product, great value.
One suggestion for taking off the wrapper without bits and pieces getting left on the sides of discs, is to start peeling it from the edge (it is a sheet of plastic wrapped around and onto itself). Peel it from the open edge, and peel down cleanly the full height of the disc stack, then pull the entire sheet around and around the stack of discs to pull it is away cleanly. Note that depending on how you're holding them, they could possibly fall, so you may want to do this over a table, or you can perhaps even place it on the table and roll it as you pull. (There is also a 100-pack that comes in a hard container without the wrapper around the discs themselves, though it costs a bit more.) Once you finish peeling off the wrapper, if you have spindle from a pack that came in a hard case, place it on that, or place it into some container, or just place it in 2-3 stacks on your desk, so it doesn't fall over.

[CD-R] The standard for printable CDs

[CD-R] Although these CDs are manufactured as CMCpro, they have the MID code TYG03. They burn well, with good results: meaning no coasters or known problems.


I like these quite a bit.

[52x] I was a bit scared at the beginning  because  I didnt knew the product but its very good  looking  and  the printing  is very beautiful  and more  its waterproof!  Awesome!

[100] These discs have migrated through several production organizations from Taiyo Yuden, JVC, etc. But the quality remains solid, and we use them exclusively for all CD burns by the hundreds over the years. Highly recommended for CD R use.
