The QuickSafes QuickVent Safe Plus | Secure Storage Solutionis a safe disguised as an air vent that allows you to hide handguns, jewelry and other valuables in plain sight – and access them quickly with the swipe of a card, key fob or wristband. The safe can be installed in minutes between 16"-center wall studs and looks like an ordinary vent that draws air for an HVAC system. Would-be thieves won't know it's there, and wouldn't be able to get in if they did. The keyless RFID (radio frequency ID) entry means there are no keys to fumble with or combinations to remember. Just tap the card, key fob, token or wrist band on the center of the top of the safe and it opens automatically. The safe comes with two credit-card size RFIDs, one key fob, one token and one wristband. You can buy extra QuickSafes RFID keys and program up to 16 of them to operate your safe.

The safe uses four included AA batteries, which will last for one year or open the safe 3,000 times. It also comes with a back-up power pack that will open the safe if the main batteries fail; you'll need to supply four AA batteries for the back-up pack.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can i use this unit with my metz 45 ct1 on my nikon d7200???

A: I've used it with an Olympus E-M1 and a Sony A7R using older Sunpak flash units without any problems. I don't see why it wouldn't work with the Nikon D7200 with a Metz flash. You may want to check your camera manual regarding older flash units with high trigger voltages.

Q: 2. Is this compatible with Canon? I see a few successes with Nikon and the image supplied with the product shows a Nikon no Canon mentioned anywhere.

A: I am not familiar with the recent model line of canon. As you can see the product has a standard universal hot shoe without any TTL contacts for flash. The product works good on my Fuji s-5 pro.You need to try it on your camera, see if it works on your canon.I use this part to operate more than one flash- It works good.

Q: 3. Does this work with newer sony cameras with Sony MI? (A7s, A7r, A7rII, etc?)

A: The manufacturer does not recommend using this on the Sony MI shoe. Even though the Sony MI shoe looks similar to a standard shoe, the hot shoe pin of this adapter may very well not line up. It is always recommended to buy devices specifically made for the Sony MIS.

Q: 4. This unit runs on a battery. My question is, if the battery fails in the middle of a shoot, will it make it impossible to fire the flash from an older power pack? Or will it still fire with potential damage to the camera?

A: According to Vello, they state that if the battery dies, the HSA-PVU Hot Shoe Adapter would still provide voltage protection for your camera. However, the PC sync terminal may lose the ability to trigger the flash or power pack connected to the adapter, depending on the voltage needed to trigger the unit. So the short answer is if the battery dies, your camera remains protected, but the flash connected to the adapter may not fire.

Q: 5. I have an OLYMPUS T 10 Ring flash with an OLYMPUS T Power Control from my Film SLR days (OLYMPUS OM2 Camera). Would the Vello HSA-PVU Hot Shoe adapter with safe voltage conversion allow me to use this ring flash on my Nikon D800, D750 & D7000 DSLR Cameras without risk to the camera electronics? I realise that this would probably only work in Manual and not TTL metering modes

A: That flash is on the older side and it might be a bit safer to use a safe voltage hotshoe adapter that is rated for more like the Wein Safe-Sync.

Q: 6. Can I use my Nikon SB800 on my Olympus mod e-5 with this converter

A: Yes, you can use a SB-800 on an Olympus E-M5. The flash will only work in manual. It does not support TTL on the Olympus.

Q: 7. What is the warranty on this product?

A: The Vello HSA-PVU Hot Shoe Adapter with Safe Voltage Conversion includes a limited 1-year manufacture warranty.

Q: 8. I am going to use this hot shoe adapter to connect the Samsung NX10 and Godox AD100 Pro with a PC Sync cable. Will it work?

A: While it is possible to use the Vello HSA-PVU Hot Shoe Adapter with Safe Voltage Conversion to connect a Samsung NX10 and a Godox AD100 Pro using a sync cable, it has not been tested to our knowledge. Your results may vary.

Q: 9. Are the listed specs correct? Adorama describes the same SKU as rising to a max height of 20' and supporting a load of 150 lbs.

A: Technical specs are as followed Weight 93.4 kg Min Height 201 cm Maximum Height 621 cm Payload 70 kg Top Attachment 1 1/8″ (28mm) socket Air Cushioned NO Load Capacity At Maximum Extension 70 kg Closed Length 236 cm Colour Silver Column Tube Diameter 90, 80, 70, 60, 50 mm Footprint Max Diameter 213 cm Leg Cross Section Square Leg Sections 5 Stand Leg Size 35x35mm unit is made of steel

Q: 10. I have a Vivitar 283 strobe, which I realize can be fired on my Nikon D700 using this Hot shoe adapter. Can my TTL quenching work with this system in the same way it does with Nikon strobes?

A: No, the 283 should be shot in manual, E-TTL will not work with this strobe.

[RFID] Was reviewing some shots from earlier in the day and realized that in the back ground of the sky there was entirely too much schmootze in the back ground and would take me forever to Photo Shop out. Got an order to B&H for this and some Visible Dust MXD-100 cleaning brushes and within 24 hrs was working on my sensor. It did take me 4 cleanings to get the sensor 100% clean but that's because I was not happy w/ leaving 2 small dots on the edge of the sensor. It was also my first attempt at cleaning a sensor and was hesitant dragging the brush across. Drag it once across, flip the brush and re drag and do a test shot to check. Wow ! Very impressed.

[10 lb] This product is great and does the job.

Use generously to clean your dirty sensor.
Don't forget to shake off any extra cleaner solution before touching the sensor area.

[4x AA] Vdust Plus works the best for me in conjunction with the green swabs. Great at removing stubborn oil deposits

[1 Year] Once again I'd like to thank B&H for making this product available to be shipped (It used to be pick up at the physical store only).

I do keep Visible Dust's Sensor Clean (for dust) and Smear Away (for oils) handy. But if, as is often the case, I'm not positive that the problem is dust only or something oily only this is what I reach for first. This works well on pollen.

I suggest applying a minimal quantity (as the instructions suggest) of this product ((2 or 3 drops) to one of the green swabs and before use. Shake the swab in the same way as you'd shake an old (medical) thermometer to return the mercury to the bulb before use. 15 seconds or so is about right on average: this will evenly distribute the fluid on the swab and promote evaporation of any excess. You do NOT want the swab to become dry, but used without shaking the swab I've had issues with smearing.

[8.2 x 8 x 3.6"] Great bags I have 5 drones and alot of batteries, I needed something to store and charge my batteries in, I feel 100% better now and it makes easy to store sort and carry the batteries. I dont worry as much now. I brought 3of the bags and they give me piece of mind.

[8.2 x 8 x 3.6"] As a newish motorsports shooter on a budget, I use all secondhand gear and it gets dusty. Professional cleanings are great, but a bit spendy and I'd have to mail off my bodies for a week or more. This stuff works great for the dust that automatic sensor cleaning and air blowers can't remove. Pair it with VisibleDust swabs and you can clean your sensor in just a few minutes. You don't need much - just two or three drops on the swab, and wait a few seconds for it to soak in before cleaning.

This solution and enough swabs for 5-10 cleanings will cost about as much as a single professional sensor cleaning, but it only takes 15 minutes, saves you a ton of time with dust removal in post, and you can have your camera ready to shoot again quickly.

10/10, would recommend.
