A: As per Hasselblad, the Nikon SB-500 can be used with the X1D in TTL mode.

A: According to the D500 product manual it will. Page 212 of the manual includes settings specific to speedlights, including the SB-500. You can download a .pdf version of the manual (that is large enough to actually use as a reference) from the download center on Nikon's website.

Q: 5. Will the SB-500 work with the Nikon D850?

A: Yes it will

Q: 6. How can I get it to work as a Commander with my Nikon Df.

A: Unfortunately it is only able to be used as a commander when mounted on the D810 and D750 model cameras. It can serve as a slave to other commander-enabled flashes mounted on the DF however.

Q: 7. Can the sb-500 be triggered by a pop-up flash? It doesn't appear so.

A: You need a flash that can be used as an optical slave. The SB-500 can't be used that way.

Q: 8. Does it explain the different sports shooting modes?

A: Yes

Q: 9. Are the two lights one for flash photos and the other for video and will it work on my Nikon D3200 DSLR for both ?

A: Yes, the Nikon SB-500 AF Speedlight can be used for both photos and video. The Nikon SB-500 AF Speedlight will also work on the Nikon D3200 DSLR camera.

Q: 10. Will it work in commander mode on a D610?

A: No. According to the manual, it will only work in commander mode on the 810 and 750. I assume it will also work in commander mode on future Nikon DSLRs made after the 810 and 750.

[Bert Sirkin] The manual for these things often require a degree in physics. This sheet is sturdy and well though out. You can put it in your camera bag. Easy to reference information on the go. 5

[4] This is the same exact model as the one that came with my Nikon SB-5000 flash. So when I cracked mine by accident this was the perfect replacement. A little pricey for a single piece of molded plastic, but it works perfectly with my flash. If you want to save money there is also an off-brand version available at a lower price. I figured I stay with Nikon and not take a chance on a cheaper version. 5

[4] This is a replacement. Original became broken through clumsy handling of my flash. Shooting people and especially with flash angled straight up this is a must! 5
