The 12.5-400mm f/3.1-16 32x Zoom Telephoto Lens from Fujinon is compatible with 1/1.8" format image sensors. The lens comes with a C-mount and offers 32x zoom. It can capture full-HD (2 MP) pictures across the entire zoom range when used on a camera with a 1/1.8"-format sensor. It is equipped with a visible light cut filter that creates a de-fogging effect with an IR camera, frequently used in long-range surveillance and providing clear image quality. This telephoto lens is suitable for long-range surveillance such as national borders, ports, sensitive facilities, and remote locations.

A: The Fujinon 20x Zoom Lens with Optical Image Stabilizer (B&H# FUXA20X41BMA) certainly has many fine qualiities, but it is not parfocal.

Q: 2. Will this lens cover the entire bmpcc sensor?

A: While a super 16mm sensor is similar in size to a 1 inch industrial sensor, it's not advised to use this lens with the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera.

Q: 3. Has anyone ever used this on a Super 8 C-Mount Camera?

A: No reports of such use. However, if the camera lens mount is properly collimated this lens should work as intended. Since the depth of focus with a wide angle lens is so narrow, the camera and the lens must be perfectly adjusted or performance will suffer.

Q: 4. What kind of environmental durability can be expected, especially from the coatings? What kind of temperature ranges can this lens tolerate?

A: This lens is geared for indoor security purposes. It is a durable lens, but is meant to be used at standard room temperatures.

Q: 5. What does this look like on a BMPCC?

A: it will be a circular image on a black rectangle. you need to warp it to a plain image.

A: No, there is no rear control for the Fujinon 20x Zoom Lens.

A: it's an HD lens for 1/3" Panasonic and JVC B4 mounts

A: We need more info regarding the "problem" that you are referring to. That being said the MFT mount itself is very similar to the MFT mounts on Blackmagic's other cameras.

[f/3.1 to f/16] Great lens for m43 like blackmagic micro cameras with metabone adapter. Very sharp. It would be even more fantastic if there was a non manual version for m43. 5

[32x] The Fujinon MK lenses are amazing, but the biggest limiting factor is that you can only mount them on an E mount cam such as the FS7, etc. I picked up a Pocket4k more recently, and it's great to be able to still use my fujinon glass on a the smaller camera for certain shoots. 5

[f/3.1 to f/16] The definition it's superbe. You can only compare this lens with Master Primes. And with an adaptor you can convert it from S35 to Large Format. 5

[C-mount] We have been using Fuji CFxxZA-1S, where xx = 8mm, 16mm, 25mm for a while now. Recently bought the 25mm EFL lens from B&H, who are great! One comment, the 25mm lens, while to the design, behaves with a slightly shorter EFL. So, I recommend looking at this document when designing: CF-ZA Series: FUJINON Lens Shooting Range Chart.pdf. The CFxxZA lenses provide excellent brightness uniformity across the field. The 25mm lens provided near full intensity at the edge field. (We know this because we were at 85%, better than the illumination source spec.) Like the 8mm (a challenging design), we can flat-field and distortion correct the imaging system with outstanding results. [C-mount] This little lens works beautifully despite being stretched beyond its specified performance -- in our case used as a proof-of-concept lab lens on a 1" type sensor with 2 megapixel resolution. This lens is tiny, well constructed and easy to use while delivering more than acceptable performance. Works like a charm. 5

[32x] The Fujinon CF series lenses provide low distortion, accurate images on camera sensors up to 1 and are relatively inexpensive. The CF12.5HA-1 is physically large compared to the body size of most modern machine vision cameras, but the barrel distortion is noticeably less than most compact lenses can deliver. This lens works perfectly with both 1:1.2 sensors and 1 sensors. I've even used it on 5MP industrial cameras and it punches well above its weight given that it's only rated for use on 1.5MP sensors. 5
