Q: 1. I bought the MP-360 motorized head. I want to use it with a Panasonic GH4 at the top of a 24' tripod.I understand that the CamRanger does not provide support for the GH4, but once I buy the PT Hub Wireless Receiver, in theory I should be able to use the CamRanger iPhone app to control the motorized head, and a separate app (I already have) to control the GH4. Is this correct? Does anyone see any problems with my understanding of how this setup will work?Thanks in advance!

A: Scott, I am not sure about what you want to do? I would think that you could control the MP-360 head with the PT Hub via the iPhone, but you would not have control over the camera. But you can control the MP-360 head with the wired remote. That way you would not need the CamRanger. Sorry that is the best I can do.

Q: 2. Already i bought a unit for canon 5D M IV now planning to do PANORAMA in pentax medium format 645Z ! which PAN HEAD unit should i buY?Can i control the head through the old set up(canon 5 D M IV model) thanks

A: We have not heard of anyone using this for panorama stitch photography. While it seems like it could do the job with less manual input, we cannot see how this would work properly. We see no way to accurately set the nodal point. So that we may best assist you, please email us with your questions at prophoto@bhphoto.com.

Q: 3. Does this work with Sony action cam?

A: Only to pan and tilt when used with camranger. No camera control for Sony cameras.

Q: 4. Do you have the AC adapter for the CamRanger MP-360?

A: I agree 100% with Ric A answer.

Q: 5. OK Android app is available, but will it work without the separately sold $299 CamRanger thing mentioned below under Three things needed with my CamRanger MP-360 Motorized Pan/Tilt Tripod Head.. It sounds a bit confusing and potentially WAY too expensive since my new Sony 4K CAM will have built in Wi-Fi, however being able to control my old CamRanger MP-360 Motorized Pan/Tilt Tripod Head sounds awesome?.. :)

A: It does need if you want it to work on your Android device a Camranger.

Q: 6. Is the Canon Vixia G40 video camera a camRanger compatible camera?

A: It is not. The CamRanger is not compatible with the Canon Vixia G40.

Q: 7. What is the accuracy of this piece? My application would involve commanding it to a specific location so I would like to know how accurately it can converge to a set of position angles.

A: The CamRanger PT Hub and MP-360 Pan/Tilt Head can be very accurate and converge to a set of positive angles. The issue is, that this PT Hub has no memory, so it is difficult to position it exactly the same way each time if it is moved.

Q: 8. Is it possible to connect the PT Hub directly to a computer via USB? I don't need wireless operation, but it will still be remote - just next to a computer.

A: According to Camranger's website, there is no indication that this unit can connected directly to a computer, it must be wireless with the downloaded app.

Q: 9. I have Sony mc2500. The weight of my camera is about 3kg. Is enough for the head? Support wireless remote my camera?

A: Not recommended. 2.7kg is the max.

Q: 10. What is the range of this wireless system?

A: This "CamRanger PT Hub Wireless Receiver B&H # CA1010 MFR # 1010" is mislabeled. It is just a hub so the CamRanger Mini can connect to two devices, a camera and the MP-360 Pan/Tilt Head. On the other hand, the range of the CamRanger Mini Wireless Transmitter that the Hub connects to is stated to be 400' Wi-Fi range. This of course is ideal, line of sight distance. If there are obstructions, like trees, buildings, concrete walls, plasterboard walls, the distance is considerably shorter.

[0.31 lb] Owned a CamRanger and then upgraded to CamRanger 2. Really like it. Decided to add the PT Hub and MP-360 Pan/Tilt. After a small snag (MP-360 didn't work...found I had one dead battery) I am VERY happy. Intuitive to use. Accurate. Great images first time out (while in the warmth of my home got some great bird pictures). Would recommend if you have the $$ and desire. 5

[0.31 lb] I use this to connect a CamRanger2 to my Canon 5D mk4. I have an Arcaswiss L bracket on the camera and bought an inexpensive ball head with Arcaswiss clamp so the CamRanger is hanging right on the l bracket. The USC cord lets me plug in the CamRanger without having a cord hanging down. 5

[1 lb / 453.5 g] Small compact light that is retractable, robust and great quality of light. I love the wireless controls, and it comes with barn doors, and the quick release is pretty cool. You could bring it up high, push it over your lens, the one-handed adjustability lets you set the position without locks or knobs. 5

[1 lb / 453.5 g] I've been a TV photojournalist for over 35 years. I've used every type of camera mounted light that has been around. The switch to camera too LED lights has had its good points and bad. The Zylight Newz virtually gets rid of problems of past lights. The Newz is well made. It's not cheap plastic that switches or knobs fail after exposure to the elements. It's bright but doesn't consume much power. It's ability to change color temperature and intensity is a must. It's weight on a camera is negligible. I purchased this with my own money to use at work. Frankly, I just got tired of the lights I was given at work with. It's been a good investment. I would suggest this for all photojournalist. 5
