The Vidpro SB-4 Spinning Static Sensor Brushis powered by two user-supplied AAA batteries to make the brush spin and create a static charge within the bristles. The static charge attracts the dust particles, which are lifted right off the camera sensor by the spinning brush. Also, the batteries supply power to the four LEDs, which illuminate the inside of the camera to enable you to see the sensor during cleaning.

Q: 4. There is no what's in the box information provided here. Is there a storage case or similar that comes with the SB500? A separate base to mount the flash off camera?

A: There is a soft drawstring pouch that is included, not a case. And yes there is a small mount to use should you want to use it off camera.

Q: 5. Does it have a grounding cord like it's big brother?

A: I don't see any reference to a grounding cord on the Kinetronics instructions. They do recommend vacumming &/or washing the brushes from time to time depending on how much the brush is used. Mine seems to be working very well at removing dust particles from the film I'm scanning.

Q: 7. Is it soft brush? I'm worry about the scratches because of brushes.

A: Yes, it is a soft brush, but I no longer use mine because I have the impression it did cause scratches when film already had dust on it.

A: This works very well to remove dust from negatives. Using this in conjunction with an anstistat cloth is ideal. If there are any minute particles that are stuck on, etc... the cloth is good for that.

[0.2 lb] Surprisingly nice build quality. The handle feels a bit small for an adult hand but has a nice weight to it. The metal bracket/cradle makes for easy storage and transport and even has a notch for hanging vertically on a wall or cabinet. The center microfiber pad does seem to make a difference and it catches finer material the outer brushes miss. Then I give it a sweep or blow with a bulb away from the record to clean the brush. As with most of these, the main feature is just clearing dust off the record. the anti-static qualities are dubious at best but at least it doesn't impart more of a charge than is already present. Have had no issues with bristles fraying or falling off yet after months of regular use.. 5

[0.2 lb] Best stylus cleaning brush ever !! A must for an accurate and noise-free tracking of all records. The carbon fiber size, length, density, and circular placement of the bristles on the brush head make it extremely effective at stylus cleaning without damaging the stylus/cantilever assembly. 5

[0.2 lb] Good product. I have an Audio Technica AT-120USB Turntable that I purchased from B&H Photo and this brush works perfectly to clean the stylus. This really works well when playing a lot of vinyl records. I recommend this product. B&H ships really fast! 5
