Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this support Windows 10?

A: Yes, it's just a UPS (nothing to do with OS's), you can use it with or without management software.

Q: 2. Can this unit be plugged into a power strip? I am running out of wall outlets, and need to plug another UPS into a wall outlet.

A: You should not connect a UPS into a Surge protector power strip, it may not work as intended.

Q: 3. does this make any noise? fan noise? I'm think about mounting this in my sound studio.

A: Bit late to the party, but in the hopes this may help someone: Yes, it makes noise. There is a constant hum, not just when on battery power, and noticeable vibration, kind of like touching a speaker. I would not recommend this for a quiet location.

Q: 4. Will this work with Mac OS X, like the CyberPower Rackmount CPS1500AVR?

A: Not at this time. The PowerPanel power management software has been fully tested and is compatible with Windows 8 32/64, Windows 7 32/64, Vista 32/64, XP 32/64, 2000, 2003, Server 2008 and Server 2012.

Q: 5. Does it have a screaming alarm when the power goes out?

A: During a blackout, the CyberPower CP1000PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS System has an alarm that will sound—two short beeps, followed by a pause. However, this sound can be muted if needed.

Q: 6. Will this work with Mac OS X, like the CPS1500AVR?

A: I assume you are asking if the UPS software will shut down your MAC if the power fails? You will have to go on line to the units mfg. and read an owners manual. I bought my unit to retain power to my computers if the power failed. When I am doing a video render, I don't want my computer shut down until I am ready. My experience: It performed well during a 3 hour power outage. I would recommend this unit for its intended purpose. Walt Copeland, A/V Engineer

Q: 7. What's the point of a 1 minute UPS?

A: In an event where power shuts off suddenly, a computer can crash and data can be lost. A UPS can give you time to shut off safely.

Q: 8. Will this be sufficient to power a 16 core 2019 Mac Pro 7,1?

A: Assuming a power load of about 400 Watts for the computer and one monitor, this CyberPower 1500 VA Smart App LCD UPS would run for about 30 minutes. (calculator: https://bit.ly/3Rn2G8S).

Q: 9. How long can it power a router and modem for if the power goes out?

A: This unit is rated for a full load runtime of 3 minutes and a half load runtime of 9 minutes. It would depend on the power draw of the items you had attached to the UPS.

Q: 10. can scan and save direct to usb memeory stick?

A: Yes, Epson RapidReceipt RR-600W wireless receipt scanner will save to usb drives.

[10 ms] Its good looking (for what it is) and blends in well with other electronics in my entertainment center. Two factors to consider if you're using this in a gaming or theater room environment. One the weight and two the additional depth needed to plug items in the back will be a problem for smaller/cheaply made entertainment centers. Are far as performance I have a 65 led, PS5, XBOX X Nvida Shield pro, Ubiquti 8 port switch and two fans plugged into. I stress tested each individual item and the XBOX X was the biggest consumer of power. The cyberPower estimated about 25 minutes of runtime while actually gaming. In hindsight I would guess I could have gotten away with a much smaller UPS but the price between the OR1000PFCRT2u and this OR1500PFCRT2U was only $20 bucks at time of sale

[Nominal 120 V] It does what it is supposed to. I will update this in a year or so. The best part was that it was nearly $150 from b&h than Amazon. I started shopping here about 15 years ago when I fell down the dslr rabbit hole. Surprisingly competitive pricing, often cheaper, and never price gouging. Whatever the msrp price is or lower, the last year or two of video cards as an example, always the msrp, not like other retailers.

[Yes] Just plugged it in an so far it's great. I was concerned it might be noisy, but I can't hear any sound from this thing at all even though its about 5 feet away. It's pretty heavy so I installed at the bottom of the rack. Got Firewall, Switch, Cable Modem, KVM, PicoCell, and docking station running on it and the front-panel estimates 85-90 minute run time in a power outage (1500VA model). I may experiment with notification features later, but I'm always in the building any time this stuff needs power so I'll know if the power goes out.

[750] Great rack mount UPS

[1U] This UPS is a great small rack device for reasonable sized loads. It is a secondary device for our rack but keeps our equipment running during power failures or the weekly generator test. Would recommend for anyone needing this size UPS in their rack.

[Nominal 120 V] Hello. We just had a power outage today, for 2.5 hours. As soon as the power went off this system kicked on automatically. I knew the power had gone out because this system has a beeping alarm when the unit is up and running. There is a button you can turn off the alarm. The alarm is not annoying - actually reassuring in a way - knowing that the system is up and running. The alarm turned off when the power was restored. All of my electronics quietly transffered back to the electric current in my house. My unit is now recharging again. I have 3 of these units in my house. I've owned them for a few years now. One unit for my internet system - which was up and running during the power outage. Sure I have internet usage on my cell phone, but all of my electronics that use wifi from my internet were also up and running as well - no interference or worrying about not having wifi available (unlike my neighbors). One unit hooked up to my Mac and Echo - both working throughout the power outage (still connected to the internet because my internet has one of these units). The last unit is hooked up to my TV (including Apple TV, a Roku Box, etc...). I've bought smaller units for smaller items that don't need as much power as this one provides. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase (B&H always delivers the best service) and these units have always come through during power outages. I'm looking to buy a few more... Thanks for reading my review. If you are looking for a great unit, you won't be disappointed.

[10' / 3 m] This UPS provides plenty of power to keep the rack running during brownouts or temporary power loss.

[80 to 150 VAC] Most home computer setups don't need much more than a 500va setup, but if you're running a server with a bunch of drives then you need lots of outlets. I'm running six 4-drive boxes linked through the thunderbolt input on a laptop and I've had two power outages and this new Cyberpower has worked flawlessly both times,
