A: You should not connect a UPS into a Surge protector power strip, it may not work as intended.

A: Yes, it can. Accord to Cyber Power's website, "connect your UPS via USB or serial cable to your computer or storage device and install PowerPanel® software to automate a graceful shutdown when there’s a power outage. PowerPanel will trigger the operating system to shutdown, save all open files, and help prevent data corruption or data loss."

Q: 3. Can this UPS be remotely managed?

A: Yes, this CyberPower Smart App LCD UPS can be remotely managed, using the included PowerPanel Business Edition Software.

Q: 4. Could this unit supply enough power for a CPAP breathing device.If so, for how long? Does it have a standard plug in portal so that I could plug in my device to this power supply?. This unit would give me the ability to breath during a black out. Please advise. Thanks.

A: You should consult the manufacturer of your breathing devise for this. I am an electronic engineering technician and to service or work on any medical equipment takes a special licensing. Medical equipment is extremely finicky and your life could depend on it, so don't take any advise form the internet; you never know who is answering you. Only the manufacturer of your breathing devise can properly advise you for back up, go to them and get what they tell you need.

Q: 5. What are the benefits of having a UPS with pure sine wave as opposed to a UPS with a stepped approximation to sine wave?

A: For most devices simulated sine wave is adequate. However, if you are backing up a device with an Active PFC (power factor correction) supply they require pure sine wave to operate correctly. Active PFC supplies are considerably more efficient than standard power supplies but need a clean input.

A: This unit is rated for a full load runtime of 3 minutes and a half load runtime of 9 minutes. It would depend on the power draw of the items you had attached to the UPS.

Q: 8. Will this be enough for an imac m1 and a lacie d2 hardrive?

A: The BH #CYCP1000PFCL has a 8 minutes at half load rating. Based on the M1 iMacs power draw this should put you in that range of run time.

Q: 9. What is the run time at 50% load?

A: Run time at half load is about 9 minutes.

Q: 10. Will this support Windows 10?

A: Yes, it's just a UPS (nothing to do with OS's), you can use it with or without management software.

[12] This new unit works well and this my second CyberPower back up power supply. I am very satisfied with both the older one and the new one. We have had a number of power disruptions in our area and the CyberPower CP550SLG Standby UPS has saved the day. I recommend this product. 5

[900 VA] Works to protect an ancient always-on EeeBox computer. My first one of these lasted about 5 years and I probably could have just replaced the battery, but I decided to wait on that and possibly just keep as a backup (a backup UPS does seem a little redundant). With the monitor off, this keeps the computer on for almost an hour. 5

[15.155 lb] I used to be a fan of a different brand, but it failed me twice. I bought a couple of different sizes of the CyberPower units, and they are great. I therefore placed this order for six more, to make sure every PC in the office is covered. These are great units, well designed, and very affordable. I frankly do not know how B&H afford free shipping on a product with a heavy lead acid battery, as other retailers do not offer free shipping on a heavy item like this. I would definitely recommend buying this, specifically from B&H. 5

[Yes] I recently bought these 550VA UPS with sinewave to protect my electronics; particularly my expensive large TV panels and AV units. The fact that these generate a sinewave helps to improve the quality of signal output from AV as well as images by reducing voltage fluctuations. Prior to these UPS units, I bought 440VA units and were very happy with them. And these have a little more battery headroom. 5

[5' / 1.5 m] I just bought this less than a week ago and we just had a power outage the other night and it performed perfectly. I have a a desktop computer, monitor and inkjet printer connected to the battery backup side and I had plenty of time to shut everything down properly. It also caught the power surges that were coming before the power went completely out. It's also a lot lighter than the unit it replaced, so it's much easier to handle and position to where you need it. I will buy another one when I need to replace another unit. 5

[USB via Type-B] I'm 71 years old and have always used APC UPS units. Over the past year I've been buying CyberPower units and have been very impressed. Their software is far superior to APC's and the UPS units have served me well and are still going strong. I have 7 UPS units, of which 4 are APC. They back up my 5 computers and cable modem, router and switches. I doubt I'll be buying anymore APC UPS units. 5
