Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Could this unit supply enough power for a CPAP breathing device. If so, for how long? Does it have a standard plug in portal so that I could plug in my device to this power supply?. This unit would give me the ability to breath during a black out. Please advise. Thanks.

A: You should consult the manufacturer of your breathing devise for this. I am an electronic engineering technician and to service or work on any medical equipment takes a special licensing. Medical equipment is extremely finicky and your life could depend on it, so don't take any advise form the internet; you never know who is answering you. Only the manufacturer of your breathing devise can properly advise you for back up, go to them and get what they tell you need.

Q: 2. What's the point of a 1 minute UPS?

A: In an event where power shuts off suddenly, a computer can crash and data can be lost. A UPS can give you time to shut off safely.

Q: 3. Does it power on after a power outage and a full discharge, like most commercial UPSs do? (Some consumer grade UPSs don't.)

A: Yes, the CyberPower SX650U Battery Backup System will engage automatically during a power outage.

Q: 4. Does this come with the necessary brackets to use it rack mounted?

A: yes.

Q: 5. Can this UPS be remotely managed?

A: Yes, this CyberPower Smart App LCD UPS can be remotely managed, using the included PowerPanel Business Edition Software.

Q: 6. What is the run time at 50% load?

A: Run time at half load is about 9 minutes.

Q: 7. How long can it power a router and modem for if the power goes out?

A: This unit is rated for a full load runtime of 3 minutes and a half load runtime of 9 minutes. It would depend on the power draw of the items you had attached to the UPS.

Q: 8. can this unit support an Imac 27 and a large format printer 44 for more than an hour?

A: Please send an e-mail to askbh@a href= http://bhphotovideo.com target= _blank bhphotovideo.com/a with the model of printer (Or wattage requirement for the printer) as well as the model year, and processor in your iMac. It will help with a more informed response in regards to runtime.

Q: 9. Will this be enough for an imac m1 and a lacie d2 hardrive?

A: The BH #CYCP1000PFCL has a 8 minutes at half load rating. Based on the M1 iMacs power draw this should put you in that range of run time.

Q: 10. Will this support Windows 10?

A: Yes, it's just a UPS (nothing to do with OS's), you can use it with or without management software.

[Yes] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is great for beside the desk. I use mine to support one desktop computer with 4 monitors. I have my cable internet and router tied to it also. This unit is really just to get you through a power spike and give you enough time to gracefully power down after you save your work. You will not run 5 computers for a full days work off of this.

[12 Minutes] After series of power outages, we looked for a UPS that can protect our data / hard drives on recently purchased synology NAS. Did some research on trade-offs and finally placed order of PR1000LCD at B&H. Reason for PR vs. CP: PR series has full AVR (could be more tolerating to generator, not yet tried), longer battery run time and more options in setup / softwares. LCD display was informative but a few lines were missing at beginning of power-up. After a few hours breaking-in the problem went away and has been no issues. I really like the display and setup capability. I was curious about 4ms transfer time as in spec. All connected equipments, plasma tv, blu-ray, Asus 68u router, motorola 6121 modem, of course main reason, Synology 214+ and WD external hard drive, worked fine when UPS is unplugged / plugged back in. Fan only kicks in when on battery power, noise is noticeable but tolerable. runtime is a little over 3 hours with router, modem, NAS and external hard drive. Connected PR's USB to windows 8.1 computer and downloaded Powerpanel Business Edition (2.5). A little bit challenging at beginning to figure out the email notification (smtp mail server setup) but once set and done, it sends out email notification as instructed. Connected PR's USB to Synology 214+: NAS immediately recognized the UPS and set up was easy. UPS and NAS functioned as intended: NAS recognizes power outage / on battery and shuts down both NAS and UPS before battery runs out). Overall the product was well-designed / built and provides a piece of mind on data equipments

[120 VAC ] This is a good looking and and solid APC. While on, it glows green on the front. It's quite small for a battery backup which I like, it fits well under a desk without being obnoxisouly big. It has a 3ft cable and feels very sturdy. It only has 4 regular grounded electrical plugs on the back, but all of them are surge protected and on battery backup. The amount of time the battery will last depends on how power heavy the things you have plugged into it are. It also includes 2 USB charging ports and an ethernet port in/out for surge protection on your network cable if needed. Note that this battery is not huge, it's not meant to support a full gaming computer through an extended outage. Plug in only the things that are mission critical and shut them down if you lose power. There is software (PC Only) you can install to see your current power usage and approximate battery life. I run a small business and I use this in my home office, and this suits my needs as a good surge protector and keeps my router and modem from rebooting through quick power outages.

[3 Minutes] I purchased the CyberPower PR1000LCD to replace an older Belkin FC650 Pro Gold (which will get a new battery for use with an older Mac and a TV). I needed a UPS that would protect against transient surges and brownouts as well as total power failures. I also wanted pure sine wave output. After that, the features that influenced my decision include: connected equipment guarantee ability to communicate with a Mac user replaceable batteries energy saving mode 8 outlets quiet removable front display panel This last feature is one I hadn't considered until I read about it in the description; but after using it, I would not buy another UPS without it (or something equally functional). In the nearly inaccessible space behind my computer, I can now get to both the display and the outlets without moving anything. So far, I have only two minor complaints. First, a large AC adapter block can cover the next outlet. Technically, this is not the fault of the UPS, but of accessory designers who don't think ahead about how their products will actually be used. It is also easily solved by use of a short heavy duty 3 outlet extension cord. Second, while the removable display will stand on its own, the slightest touch will knock it over. Some sort of slide out or folding support would be a very welcome addition. And, yes, the unit is large and heavy, but that will be the case with any comparable UPS. This one seems very solid and well made. My computer is a Mac, so I haven't used the included (Windows only) software. But the Mac recognizes the unit and adds UPS options in the Energy Saver panel of System Preferences. Also, sinceI have not had a power failure after installing the PR1000LCD, I can't comment on that aspect yet. However, I am fully confident that my equipment is well protected from any power problems.

[60 Hz] We have used another make of UPS for several years. Recently we started to see major problems with the new models of the other brand so we switched to CyberPower and could not be happier. Right out of the box there was vast improvements over the other guys - these unit work, no problem, no service call and no bs! We are now switching all of our older other brands out for CyberPower PR1000LCD models and our UPS problems are going away. Great job CyberPower
