[Boxer] This grid is fantastic. The sturdy frame design is a awesome , it pops up like a reflector and gives the grid a hard frame edge that mounts securely to the Taiko. The actual grid is also a thicker material than what I've seen in previous lights, all this helps the grid stay in place, and not get damaged when you fold it up. This thing is heavy duty! Another huge help is the grid doesn't get in the way of the yoke so you can still tilt the light whatever direction you need without it hitting. The directional 40 degree beam angle is tight and gives you a nice focused spot (see picture) which is great for putting this through your diffusion of choice and have the light very controlled. [40°] This cover fits the UH-1 nice and snug on this CMMG MK47 Banshee 200, has ample neoprene thickness for potential dings or bams, and is quick to remove. Do note that if you have a magnifier, one extra picatinny notch will be used for magnifier-to-scope distance for end of cover thickness. Also, removing the cover requires the magnifier to be swung out of the way.

On the PTR9ct, this Vortex Optics AMG UH-1 Gen II Holographic Sight Sure Fit Neoprene Cover also fits the Spitfire, TO A DEGREE. Without the factory supplied snap-up end caps, the cover is loose enough to potentially come off with a slightly less than moderate snag. However, with the end caps affixed, the Spitfire is as snug-as-a-bug-in-a-rug within the cover. I recommend placing the pull loop to the rear to reduce cap ejection.

As the material at the ends of the Cover are reinforced, with what I would guess is cardboard, I plan on sewing, or even better, gluing a piece of neoprene onto the inside of the ends to better wrap around the Spitfire without the end caps.

Now I have two!

[40°] I've been waiting for a long time for these grids to be made. And for lighting control, they are ABSOLUTELY INDISPENSABLE!!! And the price is way too low for what it is. Most grids of this type, easily cost 3 to 4 times the price. Grids are expensive. This one, is not.

I tell you... the quality of this grid is incredible. You'll see and feel when you get yours. Everything feels sturdy. When you remove it out of the included pouch, it pops up like one of those collapsible background discs. The whole thing just feels great to touch too. Yes, I'm that happy and excited! Waited too long for a custom grid for the Taiko and they are here!

When installed and used correctly, the grid will do the job perfectly.

Of course everyone knows how to install a grid. It's a simple job and it takes seconds. But I have included several pictures and also some containing instructional images attached to this review.

The provided images I uploaded, they can be actually useful to you, or at least on how NOT to damage the grid and its Velcro attachments , or the best way to install anyway...and BTW, like any other grid, never pick up the grid from the square grids or install touching the grids. Like any grid, only handle from the outer frame!

Well, it's a grid. What else can I say? ...

Bottom line:
Extremely high quality from the rigid, springy frame, comes included with a pouch, does the job like a professional grid should, installs and removes in seconds.

I'm very pleased with this item. The long wait is over! More fun with my Taiko!!!

[40°] Fits over the first gen vortex UH-1 nicely and keeps it free of dust and other debris. Its a squeeze and doesn't cover the flip up micro 3x magnifier but then again I don't believe it was designed too.
Would buy again

[40°] Its just great, not floppy like other grids, but pops into place and attaches quickly and securely to the light. It folds up, not tiny but pretty compact. Nice bag.
