A: Chimera Universal LED TECH Lightbank (1 x 1') BH #CH1655 will not fit the CHAUVET PROFESSIONAL onAir IP Panel 1 Full Spectrum LED Soft Light BH #CHONAIRPNL1I which is much larger than a typical 1x1 panel.

Q: 2. I'd like to be able to mount this to my bowens mount fixtures (aputure 120d II & godox monolight) and with speedlights? What additional fixtures are needed? Thanks.

A: A speedring with Bowens S type mount. e.g., B&H # AN7464BOWV2

A: This softbox would have a silver interior.

Q: 4. Does the Chimera 1648 have a silver interior? It appears that the front face is interchangeable. Is there any light loss compared to a bare Area48 (I ask because the DOP choice soft box uses a silver interior to reflect some of the side spill forward and increases the output by 1 stop).

A: The Chimera 1648 No Frame Softbox for BBS Area 48 has a soft silver interior. It comes with two (2) different front screens, one with 1/2 density diffusion and one with 1/4 density diffusion.

Q: 5. What is the prefered style of speed ring for this strip bank? Is a 4 sided speedring with the holes at 90 degrees going to work or do you need a different angle for the strip bank?

A: the 4 sided ring will work but ideally an 8 sided one, used primarily for an Octobox would work best. They have holes that are designed to accommodate an octa, a square box, or a strip.

Q: 6. I am looking to purchase this Softbox for my Godox AD600pro, can someone please advise which speed ring is required?

A: You may use the Impact Speed Ring for Impact, Bowens S, Westcott & Aputure B&H # IMSRIMPV2 to fit the AD600 Pro.

A: You can't use this with continuous lighting, it's for strobe only. What you want is called the Chimera Video Pro Plus Softbox - Medium 36x48 (90 x 120 cm) B&H # CHVPPBM MFR # 8135.

Q: 10. Is there an inner baffle that Chimera offers for their other soft boxes that might work with this Universal version?

A: While you may get diffusers of different strengths for the front of the softbox, there are no inner baffles or diffusers designed for use inside the Chimera Universal LED TECH Lightbank (1 x 1').

[Silver] I bought this to use for head shots and clam shell lighting. While it seems popular to use a small strip bank as the lower light for this lighting set up,....I much prefer the smaller, shorter small box and this one does a incredible job of knocking down the shadows, giving an extra measure of control by not totally obliterating the shadows. And as always....Chimera makes a great product that lasts for many, many years. Highly recommended!!! 5

[40 x 6.5 x 6.5"] I use this Lightbank as my main light for portraits. The box is light weight, fairly easy to set-up. It is well constructed and appears to be quite durable. It may outlive me. 5

[Silver] We ended up buying these for ETC Desire D40 LED spots not knowing if they would work on a fixture like that and it turned out to be a game changer.� As an added bonus, Chimera worked with me to make sure we were getting the correct speed ring softbox size.� Well worth the extra couple bucks, we are very happy! 5

[5.5 lb] I have two of these, my favorite softbox to use for groups and portraits, although the Large is a very nice box as well. The medium is a nice balance of size and quality. You wont regret this purchase, these boxes last 20+ years, and parts are replaceable. 5
