Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would these work for video on a Sony FX6 with Rokinon glass? The lens is 100% manual, so no loss of function to worry about.

A: The FotodioX extension tubes do work with the FX6. If you're using manual lenses it should work fine.

Q: 2. Does it make sense to combine an extension tube with a macro lens (OM 5 + Zuiko 60mm macro)?

A: One can use extension tubes with Macro lenses to get even closer. This is something that can be effective. But the FotodioX Macro Extension Tube Set for Micro Four Thirds (MFT, M4/3) Cameras: for Extreme Close-Up Photography are manual extension tubes only. They would not allow for any focus or aperture control when used with the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 60mm f/2.8 Macro Lens, and so would not be a good combination. If you want to use extension tubes with that lens, instead get the FotodioX Pro Automatic Macro Extension Tube Kit for Micro Four Thirds, BH #FOMCRMFTAFKI (https://bhpho.to/3IlwVeY).

Q: 3. Are these tubes auto or manual? If so is there a specific Sony amount?

A: These are manual and made for Sony E mount. For A mount you would want these; B&H # FOMACUBESNYA

Q: 4. what's the diameter of the threaded spacing ring? It that compatible of an ordinary step-up/step down ring?

A: We cannot find any information suggesting that these rings can use step-up rings.

Q: 5. Can these lens work with the Canon 28 mm macro lens?

A: Yes they will fit the Canon EF-M 28mm f/3.5 Macro IS STM Lens.

Q: 6. What is the the extension tubes' screw thread size?

A: The FotodioX Macro Extension Tube Set for Canon EOS (EF, EF-S) Cameras: for Extreme Close-Up Photography does not have a screw thread size: one end of each tube is compatible with a Canon EF camera and the other end is compatible with an EF or EF-S lens.

Q: 7. Will this set work with the Canon 70D?

A: Yes it will. Fotodiox lists this as compatible with the Canon 70D.

Q: 8. What are the lenses made of? Glass or plastic?

A: They are made of glass.

Q: 9. Will this work on a 55mm-250mm EF-S F4.5-6 lens?

A: Yes, it is compatible with the 55-250mm lens.

Q: 10. Will this work with the Sony a7III?

A: Yes, the FotodioX Macro Extension Tube Set for Sony Alpha E-Mount Cameras: for Extreme Close-Up Photography, B&H # FOMACROTUBSN, would be compatible for use on the E-mount used on the Sony Alpha a7 III Mirrorless Digital Camera. Do note that the above are fully manual extension tubes, as there are no electronic contacts on the lens to transmit electronic information from the lens to the camera. As such, you will have to focus manually, as well as set your exposure manually. You also would not be able to control the aperture of the lens, so you will have to use the camera in either A (Aperture Priority) or M (Manual) mode.

[37 mm] I actually bout a different set of these for my other lenses because I couldn't believe they were as good as they were for the price. I have used them every day since I bought them for a special project. As good as my more expensive sets. Highly recommend!

[37 mm] The macro set works well to add magnification for macro shooting especially for those of us not ready to buy an expensive macro lens.
The set includes 4 compatible lens to allow combinations to achieve selected magnification.
