Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are these tubes auto or manual? If so is there a specific Sony amount?

A: These are manual and made for Sony E mount. For A mount you would want these; B&H # FOMACUBESNYA

Q: 2. Could you put a adapter on the end for a Nikon Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/3.5 and use it to scan film on sony e mount cameras?

A: It will work but I would advise getting an adapter with an adjustable aperture ring or if the lens itself has an aperture ring you can control.

Q: 3. Would this fit on a canon t7i 58mm lens?

A: These extensions tubes fit directly to the lens mount on a Micro 4/3 camera. If looking to fit directly to a 58mm front diameter on a Canon lens, you might want to check out the Hoya 58mm HMC Close-Up Filter Set II (+1, +2, and +4), B&H # HOCUS2MC58. This close up kit will help shorten the focusing distance of your lens for macro work. https://bhpho.to/2MNghaX

Q: 4. I assume these various tubes screw together to form one long extension tube. Are the screw threads a 52mm thread as you would find in a standard filter? Or do the tubes use a bayonet to join together instead of a screw thread?

A: These are bayonet Nikon f mount

Q: 5. I have a Fuji XE2 with the 18-55 kit lens. Is it compatible?

A: Yes. This will work with any X-mount Fujifilm camera. Keep in mind that this is a manual-focus only extension tube with no electrical contacts. You will need to enable "lensless shooting" in the menu of your XE2.

Q: 6. Do these change the long distance focus or infinity for normal picture taking. Or can it be used only for closeup photos?

A: It does shift the entire focus of the lens. It will be different for different lenses.

Q: 7. Is this an autofocus?

A: No, there is no communication between the tubes and lens/camera. Auto-focusing while using extension tubes is a lesson in futility, it just won't work. Manual focus is the only way to go when shooting extreme macro.

Q: 8. has anyone used these for micro four thirds? looking for some extension tubes for my fully manual lens so AF capabilities don't matter and considering these or the viltrox for m43

A: These extension tubes can definitely work well on a Micro 4/3 mount camera.

Q: 9. Does it make sense to combine an extension tube with a macro lens (OM 5 + Zuiko 60mm macro)?

A: One can use extension tubes with Macro lenses to get even closer. This is something that can be effective. But the FotodioX Macro Extension Tube Set for Micro Four Thirds (MFT, M4/3) Cameras: for Extreme Close-Up Photography are manual extension tubes only. They would not allow for any focus or aperture control when used with the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 60mm f/2.8 Macro Lens, and so would not be a good combination. If you want to use extension tubes with that lens, instead get the FotodioX Pro Automatic Macro Extension Tube Kit for Micro Four Thirds, BH #FOMCRMFTAFKI (https://bhpho.to/3IlwVeY).

Q: 10. what's the diameter of the threaded spacing ring? It that compatible of an ordinary step-up/step down ring?

A: We cannot find any information suggesting that these rings can use step-up rings.

[43 mm] I actually bout a different set of these for my other lenses because I couldn't believe they were as good as they were for the price. I have used them every day since I bought them for a special project. As good as my more expensive sets. Highly recommend!

[43 mm] These work well. While the pouch they come with is a nice inclusion, the netted pockets are sort of goofy. But for the price, it's a fantastic buy.

[0.23 lb] I bought these for my Sony RX10 M3 bridge camera. I want to capture small details in my crystals and was a bit frustrated because I couldn't clearly capture what I wanted with the normal macro feature, and I can't use a dedicated macro lens because the camera has a fixed zoom lens. I love that the RX10 M3 uses filters that screw on, so these close-up lenses were my answer to my issue. I'm still getting used to using them, but my ability to capture the details has greatly improved with these close-up lenses. One of the B&H staff brought these to my attention, and I'm so glad I purchased them.

[0.23 lb] Purchased this filter for night time photography and I wanted to try it on a daytime photo. This camera filter improves the sky color with less haze. I will use it again regardless of daytime or night time photography.
