The Roland EC-10M El Cajon Mic Processor SEO Titlefrom Roland EC-10M El Cajon Mic Processor SEO Titleis a creative tool designed for the acoustic cajon. It can be used to pick up the cajon's acoustic sound with the included clip-on condenser mic, which is also used to trigger a variety of onboard tones for layering with the cajons acoustic sound.

Featuring sixteen sound-kit variations, various control knobs for the compressor such as threshold and volume, and multiple inputs such as 1/4" TRS and 1/8" mini-jack, the EC-10M mic processor can also create percussion phrases with the built-in looper. This lets you play additional sounds via integrated A/B foot pads or optional kick-trigger pedals.

Furthermore, you can send the sounds from the unit to an amp or a PA system, which gives you complete control over your stage sound. The EC-10M transforms the acoustic cajon experience with a world of new expressive power. It can operate on four AAA-size batteries (for up to five hours) or with the included power supply.

With the EC-10M, take your acoustic cajon performances to new heights. Just attach the dedicated clip-on mic to the instrument's sound hole, and then layer EC-10M tones with the acoustic voice to create unique hybrid sounds. The 16 kit variations include percussion sounds such as tambourine, surdo, splash cymbal, and many others, plus acoustic snare drum and the famous TR-808 snare. Built-in cajon tones with ambience are also included for reinforcing your acoustic cajon's natural voice with powerful studio sound

The EC-10M senses when the mic is picking up sounds from the head and edge surfaces on the cajon, giving you the ability to trigger electronic sounds with each of these areas. This lets you integrate EC-10M sounds using authentic cajon techniques, so you don't have to adjust your playing in any way

In addition to head and edge sounds, each of the 16 kits within the EC-10M includes two electronic sounds that are pre-assigned to the onboard A/B foot pads for triggering with toe taps while performing. If you'd prefer to play these sounds with authentic foot techniques and a more solid feel, up to two Roland kick trigger pedals (KT-10, KT-9, or KD-7) can be connected

You can use the compact EC-10M anywhere, since it weighs just 1.1 pounds and runs on four AAA batteries. The included clip-on condenser mic is compact and convenient, eliminating the need to take up valuable stage space with a mic stand and large microphone. With its small footprint, the EC-10M is an easy fit in the tightest performing spaces

Along with being a sound module for electronic sounds, the EC-10M functions as a mic preamp for the clip-on mic, enabling you to amplify both the acoustic cajon and layered sounds through an amp or PA

A built-in looper for the electronic layered sounds lets you create instant percussive backing for acoustic cajon playing or jamming with another instrument. The looper is controlled using the A/B foot pads, and you can capture electronic sounds triggered from the cajon and external pedals in your loops. And by changing the kits while the loop is playing, the tones in the loop are changed, too

Q: 1. what is the power in watts of this flash? Thanks.

A: Speedlights such as this will be under 100w/s at max power.

Q: 2. If I use the EL-1 at less than full power, will it recycle faster than 0.9 sec? If so, how fast will it recycle? I'd like to use the EL-1 as a fill-in flash in bright daylight. I assume I won't necessarily need full power for that. Would love it to recycle fast enough to take 2 or 3 shots per second. Will that be feasible?

A: According to Canon, the EL1 can recycle from 0.1-0.9 seconds, with the lower time frame being for the lowest power setting of 1/64. Unfortunately, they don't publish what the exact recycling time would be for any of the other power settings on this flash.

Q: 3. Can the flash be remotely triggered using the Pocket wizard Plus lll ?

A: Yes you can but you would need another pocket wizard to connect to the sync port on the Canon EL-1, but then you can trigger it remotely with the Pocket Wizard Plus III.

Q: 4. Do this flash Is it controllable wirelessly by the flash 430EX III-RT?

A: Yes, the 430EX III RT will communicate with the EL-1.

Q: 5. Can the Canon EL-1 be used on a Canon R5 to trigger external Canon 430 EX iii-RT units?

A: Yes, the Canon EL-1 can be used on a Canon R5 and will trigger an external Canon 430 EX iii-RT Speedlight.

Q: 6. Is the Lp-el battery that powers this flash interchangeable with the lp-e6nh used on the R5. I can both the flash and the camera use batteries interchangeably?

A: Unfortunately, this flash is only capable of accepting the LP-EL battery.

Q: 7. Im NEW to this. Does this amazing flash really require a separate purchase of an external battery power bank? or are the rechargeable batteries good enough to get by with, provided we bring 2 or 3 with us on-site?

A: Unfortunately, you've not given us enough information to go on to properly assess your battery/power requirements. The Canon EL-1 speedlight's rechargeable LP-EL battery lasts 335 shots at full power. Depending on your requirements, you might require a few extra batteries to last the day/event.

Q: 8. how much power does it have? is higher than the 600EX?

A: The Canon Speedlight EL-1 and the Canon 600ex II-RT are about the same power. 600ex II RT guide number is 197' and the EL-1 is 196.9'

Q: 9. Can the Canon EL-1 be used with the R3, without an adaptor?

[Kit number] Sooner or later, you'll want your good mic to be usable in your computer. For example, podcasters will love this or when on a Zoom meeting, having a mic that's better than the webcam-supplied variety makes it easier for everyone to understand you. Just connect this to any XLR mic and it becomes a USB mic. How cool is that. No expensive equipment or finicky drivers. It just works.

Nice product, I'll be making a lot of use of this.

[150 mA] Mine came in perfect condition. The snare is far from weak. The amp/speaker is not weak either - it is at least as loud as the regular acoustic instrument, and mine is certainly louder, so that full volume is a bit too much. Besides, you can plug it into an amp or mic it if you need to - like any other cajon. The velocity sensitivity works great, and is completely adjustable. The only sounds that sound electronic are the few sounds that are supposed to sound electronic. The 20 settings that are acoustic sound great, and the 10 electronic sounds are so much fun to play with. You don't have to hit it so precisely. You certainly want the triggers localized, because you don't want to always hit the triggered sounds. That way, instead of the basically two sounds you normally get from a cajon, you can get many more varieties. I bought this for use in my professional band, and I'm glad I did. I would do it again. My drummer can now accompany me when I play what used to be solo gigs, when schlepping drums would not be appropriate. We can fit into more venues with this thing. That was the original reason for my purchase. Now - I am not saying that this is the best cajon on the market - that's a personal choice. I am saying that the instrument I received is of high quality, is very useful, and I have no regrets. I look forward to hearing what the future iterations of this great idea will sound like.

[150 mA] Have been using it to participate (audio only) in Zoom meetings. Plugged my Sennheiser e835 into the XLR connector on one end, and the USB connector into a USB hub for my Mac mini. Works great!

[Kit number] This is among the best keyboard amps I have used for the combination of portability, bass response without booming and just plain clear true even frequency response. I do not miss anything on the bottom register for it being only a 12 speaker. With any of various piano emulations on my various keyboards, it is as close to playing a grand piano as any amp and speaker combination I have used and that is compared to a Peavy KB 100 and a Peavy Bandit. Hammond and other organ and synth emulations come thru cleanly as well. Could not be more satisfied.

[18 oz (500 g)] The whole point of using this is that it allows you the fallibility and freedom to use whatever microphone you would like. Provided that mic connects with a XLR connector of course, and doesn't require phantom power to function.
I use this causally, it's paired with a Audio Technica ATR1300, on my desktop computer with a simple flat base mic stand.

Discord, Telegram, really whatever I'm doing that might require me to transmit my voice works just fine with it. There's no audible hiss or noise. The audio is crystal clear. Since it's USB, I can easily migrate the setup to computer from computer.

If I got a dud, like I did with another audio interface from another company. I'd be having to deal with warranty and RMA hassles. You might as well. So open it and test it as soon as it arrives!

Note: You'll need to do a little configuration in the settings to get your microphone of choice to be audible. When I first plugged everything in I could barely hear myself.

[Kit number] As we downsize our home, I'm downsizing my drum kit to a Cajon - and loving the Roland EC-10 from B & H Phoro. My Cajon came just as advertised - but even sooner than promised.

[150 mA] Decided to purchase this specific model and shopped around for the beat deal. Not only did B&H have them listed as the lowest price similar to sweet water & guitar center. They threw in speaker stands, cables and carrying case with a bonus Bluetooth module!
