The sensor enables the cymbal sounds to change naturally in different positions on the cymbal, from edge to bow to bell, which allows ride-cymbal play to be faithfully reproduced.

Whether you're playing legato cymbal swells, soft strokes on the bell, or strong crash accents on the edge, the V-cymbal captures each playing technique accurately. In addition, you can choke the cymbal with your hand and can softly mute the bow of the cymbal with a simple touch of a finger.

A: There is no tally integration with this switcher and that is what is needed to operate tally lights.

Q: 4. What's the best way to use this unit with 2 cameras coming in, with a computer input that will be running a PowerPoint presentation? Will this switcher scale the incoming computer signal? Thanks in advance!

A: This product has two dedicated 3G SDI inputs, a third channel input that supports 3G SDI or HDMI and a fourth channel HDMI input that also includes scaling. Depending on the outputs your camera offer you can have both of them going into the SDI inputs or have one use the SDI input and one using the HDMI input ( third channel ).

Q: 5. Can I use GoPro Hero4 cameras with this switcher?

A: Yes, I have (3) GoPro Hero 4 Black cameras attached to the unit and it works perfectly.

Q: 6. I cannot see the sdi output signal neither the pvw nor the pgm. I can sure the hd sdi cable and the hd sdi monitor work well. Please help me solve this problem.

A: Yes it does. This switcher will include the V-1SDI RCS dedicated computer software, which is compatible for both Mac and PC.

A: Yes, the Roland V-1HD is both PAL and NTSC. You can set the HXR-MC2500E (B&H #SOHXRMC2500E) to 1080i50 for it to work with this switcher.

Q: 10. Will this work with the Vidiu Pro encoder?

A: Yes it will work. You will be able to output from the V-1HD through HDMI in to the Teradek VidiU Pro, B&H #TEVIDIUP.

[9.6 lb] I was fortunate to get this item at considerable mark down that put it within the reach of my budget. The last time I owned a video switcher it worked only if all the connected cameras were genlocked. This unit enables use of non-genlocked cameras. So, by getting a couple of component-video-to-SDI converters I was able to start using my two Sony FX1 HD cameras to do live switching. And this unit provide an incredible range of customization to adapt it to your needs. 5

[9.6 lb] I purchased mine from a different retailer here in Canada, I've had 0 issues with overheating or issues of that sort. I think a particular con that should be noted though, is that it does have fans, and like most other switchers I have used, in a quiet room it is relatively very loud for such a small unit. The ATEM TV studio had fins on the rear that you could cook eggs on when it was running, but it was silent. The ease of traveling with this thing is sort of life changing. I'll take its shortcomings (not many worth noting for price and size really) with grace. I highly recommend it. 5

[9.6 lb] As always I get a product, check for latest firmware and software before use. Since then had it for 8 months and never any problem with it. Used it in several 8 hours event production with computer and cameras and works perfect. On a table with cables and airflow in open air. One small note maybee but always important, same format on all inputs important (apart from the hdmi 3 scaler input) can make it lock up.. mostly used it in 1080i or 720p. 5

[9.6 lb] This Deal of the Day was a truly great deal. Havent used it on a shoot yet, but did set it up with two cameras, a GoPro, and a Laptop, and its ready to rock and roll. A lot of capability in a small package. Looking forward to the first shoot with it. 5

[9.6 lb] It's expensive. But the balanced XLR inputs, stereo RCA in, aux in, balanced TRS outs and thorough iPad control are worth the extra expense. Layout is intuitive, metal box is sturdy as are the connectors. EQ/compressor/limiter on each channel and on master out. Brightness/contrast on all ins. Also saturation, color and zoom on input 4 scaler. PiP, split screen, etc. at touch of a button. After using Roland V-1HD+ I would not be happy with the more popular, cheaper competition. [9.6 lb] Was making due with Feelgood's LivePro, but this unit reminds me of working switchers on a remote three camera shoot for sporting events. Solid feel and build, flexible design and you can tweak to your heart's delight!! 5
