[White] I had purchased a beauty dish elsewhere that was supposed to come with a grid but didn't. When I contacted the company they informed me that they couldn't replace the missing piece and offered me a pittance of a return. I turned to B&H and bought the grid here. It arrived on time in sturdy packaging and when I snapped it into place on my beauty dish it actually adjusted a few imperfections that the dish had that I didn't notice when I bought it!! I should have gone to B&H from the get-go. Fantastic product and service!

[5.5 lb] I thought I had the best modifier a budget studio photographer could afford (Photek Softlighter II), but I was wrong. A few good recommendations on POTN convinced me to shell out the money for this Speedotron BD for my Genesis lights. The first few shots with this dish was amazing. I love the quality of light on this, especially for head & head/shoulder shots! It produces great contrast and really outlines the model's facial features and lines. I use my Softlighter II for an evenly lit and subtle beauty shot, but I find myself reaching for the Speedotron more and more. I haven't shot with the Mola Demi, but others have said that it is very comparable. Of course, I've seen shots done with the Mola Euro and nothing compares to that. Speedotron should make a Mola Euro competitor. I would buy that!

[5.5 lb] I really love shooting with a beauty dish and for many years I've been using a variety of 22" dishes. Love them all. Each has its own character. The look from a gridded beauty dish is fantastic for so much of what I shoot.

I've wanted a 27" dish for a while and I finally got to shoot with the Angler 27" beauty dish with the honeycomb grid. Same quality of light as with the 22" dish, but greater coverage. Just gorgeous. You can work at a slightly greater distance and still get those killer sculpted cheekbones, or you can work really close and get insanely rapid falloff from a large, soft light source.

Super flexible modifier. Great for beauty shots, glamour and fashion. A great complement to the 22" dish, but I have to admit, this has now become my favorite.

[Aluminum] When i first saw one i thought ok ya just another beauty dish..another product they want to sell. After using it i have completely changed my mind. I think this is a must for any serious photographer. I love how to lighting looks. i can even make it look like a softbox. Its super light weight and installs in like 2 seconds. Very easy to use and control lighting with. I would highly recommend this for any photographer.. just when i thought hensel lighting couldnt get better this unit proved me wrong.

[White] Very similar design to Mola dishes but about 1/3 of the price, plus can be adapted to any make of a flash by swapping out the mounting ring (easy to do). Modded mine by using a Mole/ Richardson Concave Reflector in place of the center diffusion (attach with aluminum tape) and then wrap Rosco Toughlux around the center posts. Eliminate the need for the DiffuserSox.

[White] I have used all types of lighting equipment for product pictures and this is by far the best investment I have made. One light and this dish made it so much easier to take pictures of products and the end result is awesome. Highly recommended

[Aluminum] I got this to use on my AlienBee (with attachment) for outdoor posed sports photography and so far really like it! (I did try once to use my umbrella/PLM outside and the wind took it over...this is a better alternative and really helped to light my subjects.)

[White] I constantly talk about loving and using grids. With a beauty dish, I can't even imagine using one without a grid. That's just me, but controlling spread and coverage in beauty and glamour is what it's all about when it comes to sculpting the cheek bones and having just the right contrast and wrap on the face. I also like the method used for attaching the grid tot he beauty dish. It's solid and secure.

[White] The beauty dish has a great quality and characteristic on its own, but when you add the honeycomb grid and control spill, it's fantastic. You can even use a diffusion sock over the grid and get a great balance of crisp, contrasty light and soft, diffused light. I can't imagine doing beauty work without this grid.

[22" Beauty Dish] The light this modifier produces is just beautiful. Use it with my Alienbees and a single 580 EX II. I don't really have anything negative to say about it other than it's big and can't collapse down like a soft box.
