Transfer up to a 4K HDMI video signal to your computer with Epiphan AV.io 4K USB 3.0 Video Grabber for Streamingrobust and compact AV.io 4K Video Grabber.

This sleek capture device features an HDMI input and USB 3.0 output. It supports up to 4096 x 2160 (DCI 4K) resolution on input and allows you to retain the resolution on output or scale it up or down. Connect cameras, mobile devices, home entertainment devices, and other HDMI sources, and transmit the content to your computer with audio, uncompressed, and with near-zero latency.

The AV.io 4K is a UVC device that shows up on your computer as a webcam. As a UVC device it's designed to integrate with a capture software on your computer, and it's seamlessly compatible with all the popular capture software, including Wirecast, Skype, QuickTime, Adobe FMLE, VLC media player, Windows Camera, and any conferencing software. The captured data can be used for a variety of purposes, like high-end streaming, webcam applications requiring higher image quality than standard webcams offer, and for recording, such as if a doctor needs to capture an ultrasound.

The AV.io 4K is autodetected on Windows, Mac, and Linux systems, allowing for easy integration. Its USB 3.0 output is backwards-compatible with USB 2.0 but a USB 2.0 port will limit the maximum frame rate and resolution support.

The AV.io 4K has a tough build and can be relied on for long-term use. It has a metal exterior that's strong enough to withstand being dropped as well as stepped on. Included along with the grabber are a 3 ft HDMI cable and 3 ft USB 3.0 cable, so you'll be able to get started right away.

[1.1 lb] I bought this device to allow me to stream society meetings via WebEx. It is a perfect solution. No additional software to install, just plug it in and it works. Even better is that it will allow you to extract audio from any one of the eight embedded channels in the SDI signal. One cable does it all. Highly recommended. Also works with Skype.

[1.1 lb] Plug n play first tune use! No problem running in my MacBook or PC laptop! Quality looks great if you use USB 3.0; but, HD with standard USB is great as well. Highly recommended! No additional equipment or cables needed. I used my 4K camcorder as the camera; so, footage look excellent.

[1.1 lb] I used the Video Grabber in the production of an 8-hour long auction and it worked flawlessly. I used it between a Sony NX-5 camera and VMix running on a laptop and I couldn't be any happier with the product. I might be adding a second for my next production.

[1.1 lb] I use this with a Xeon powered HP Zbook running Windows 10. It worked flawlessly and effortlessly. I purchased it to connect my Nikon Z7 to my computer for streaming and recording via OBS. Other than connecting the HDMI cable from one end to the camera and the included USB 3 cable to the computer, there was no setup. All apps--Zoom, Skype, OBS, etc.--immediately recognized the AV.io 4k as a webcam. The results are glorious. This was three times more expensive than the Elgato Camlink 4k I initially had my eye on, but 4k camlinks--and anything else related to working from home--quickly disappeared from vendors' stock. Ultimately, I am certain that this is a better product. Better build quality and no issues with whether it might be incompatible with certain cameras.
