The 24" A3 (Selectable Cardioid/Hypercardioid/Omnidirectional) from Countryman is a podium condenser microphone designed to provide clear voice reproduction for use in meetings, conventions, lectures, and houses of worship. It features dual capsules tuned for clarity, wide frequency response, low noise, and a high maximum SPL of approximately 130 dB.

Integrated damping, along with the dual-cartridge design, attenuates thumps, rumble, vibration, and handling noise. The mic’s shielding and circuit design protect it from picking up interference from radio frequencies. The supplied windscreen reduces the level of breaths and plosives.

A standard XLR 3-pin male connector allows you to connect it to most mixers and mic preamps. The A3 is powered by 48 VDC phantom power. A protective case is included.

Q: 1. Will the TX9 perform good if I connect the receiver RX9 via the SR-UM10-CC1 to a Zoom H8?

A: Yes, I have connected it to a Zoom H4n recorder with no problems.

Q: 2. I want to use this microphone with Tascam DR_05 recorders. Is that possible? Does the recorder supply the power? The tech page notes -- Requires a bias voltage of 1.5 to 10 VDC (plug-in power) or a battery module.

A: The Tascam DR-05 is able to supply plug-in power to mics that require it.

Q: 3. This wireless mic system can be used with any computer and a mic input line right? Will there be any interference with the wireless radio in this system and wireless frequencies of a laptop?

A: Yes, The receiver output may be connected to a microphone input connector of any device, including computers (better still would be to connect this to an audio interface, USB out of the audio interface, out to computer) or, to a camera microphone input.

Q: 4. Anybody have trouble with the usb cable staying in the usb connector?

A: The USB port on the Shure MV51 is a micro-B. Perhaps an angled plug may be a good option if you are having problems with the straight plug disconnecting. We have a 6' long StarTech USB 2.0 Type-A Male to Left-Angle Micro-USB Male Cable (B&H# STUUSBHAUB6L) that you can try.

Q: 5. Will this work with a UWMIC10 reciver?

A: No, the Saramonic Vlink2 HU Cardioid Handheld Microphone Transmitter for Vlink2 System (2.4 GHz) is not compatible for use with any of the Saramonic UwMic wireless microphone systems and is intended for use with the Vlink2 Wireless Microphone System. There is no UwMic10 series, but there are UwMic9 and UwMic9S series wireless mic systems which operate on the UHF band. The Vlink series components operate on the 2.4 GHz band which is not compatible with the UHF band used by the UwMic9 and UwMic9S components.

Q: 7. what is MFP and PCL?

A: MFP stands for multi function printer. PCL is a type of printer language that this particular printer supports.

Q: 8. Are there any frames used to hold 5x7 glass negatives

A: The Epson Expression 13000XL Archival Scanner does not have frames for 5x7 glass negatives, but thick originals like that can be scanned.

Q: 9. I want to plug this mic into a wireless pack for stereo recording. Is that possible?

A: This is not a stereo microphone. It would capture a voice in mono, which is usually most ideal for clear capture of speech. Q: 10. What is the difference between this mic and the Verifact E LE-075?

A: The microphone has Electronic Gain control which allows you to control how sensitive the microphone is. The LE-075 does not have that.

[Black] This boom mic was a perfect choice for the fundraiser we conducted in a hotel ballroom. The fidelity of the mic was excellent as we pumped voice through the hotels house system. We paired it with a Sennheiser EW 172 G3-A1 receiver. The mic was comfortable, crisp and clear and had no background noise. Definitely worth the price. 5

[1.1 lb] These mics are great for musician/singers that need freedom to see music or the instrument while singing simultaneously. They take adjustment to your ear and should not be shared to preserve their life. They can cause slight discomfort on the back of the eat due to a pressure point caused by the rigid flexible junction if not adjusted just right. For the size of microphone, the quality is exceptional, and the latest generation has a bigger coax cable that feeds the receiver which should be much more durable. For pure singer voice quality, my handhelds have better quality. 5

[1.1 lb] My pastor has use a Countryman microphone for 5 years. We opted to purchase a new microphone when we upgraded to the Sennheiser instead of puchasing an adapter. The cord is more durable than the one we had and the sound quality is excellent. It is easy to fit to any ear. We are looking forward to many years of use as we have come to expect from Countryman products. 5

[1.1 lb] I use the countryman for my sermons on sunday morning and/or sunday nights. It is crisp clear and easy to fit to the ear. I followed the directions to fit my countryman to me and it fit so well that once I started speaking I forgot it was there. I did have one small issue with feedback but that was due to the soundtech putting me into the stage monitors too much. 5

[Phantom Power] I previously bought another brand's earset because it saved me a little bit of cash and got great reviews. It was never truly comfortable, always digging in to the top of my ear, no matter much I readjusted the fit. And then the cord malfunctioned. I plugged in a second cord and it worked again but the second cord's plug is frozen and it couldn't be replaced when it inevitably broke. So I decided to go for the Countryman and see if there was any difference. Huge difference! It's so comfortable I don't feel that I'm even wearing it. Sounds great right out of the box. It didn't need any audio adjustments and now I'm a happy camper. It's always been my thing to get the best quality. In the long run it always pays off. I should've listen to my self and go on with the Countryman from the get go. I have absolutely no regrets regarding this is new ear set, other than the money I wasted. 5

[Phantom Power] E6 head mic is wonderful sounding mic for speech and singing. Much better than a traditional lav.(unless you do not want to see anything, then a lav dressed into the hairline is best. It can make a sound system in a bad environment sound pretty good. I use them mated to Sennheiser wireless system on our pastors. In my early career as a Sound Designer, I used them exclusively on theater productions. I also like that if the cable goes bad you can replace at the ear mic. This opinion is based on ROI. I do like the DPA's, but for the money go Countryman. 5
