Q: 1. Can this unit be adapter to a wireless controller or is there a next step up that would not brak the bank?

A: I would think that it would take quite a bit of work to make it work wirelessly. There are 2 cables that it uses. One for the pan motor & the other for the tilt motor. They send a varying voltage to the motors to control the speed they move the cameras.

Q: 3. i want to use this with water drop photography, can i make very small adjustments in the angle up and down.? somtimes i will only need to use it for fraction of an inch. AL

A: Yes, depending on the lens. I use it with a portrait lens and it is pretty fine movement. If you're trying to use a macro, it may not be as accurate as you may want. Telephoto seems to be okay. Also, it uses batteries or external power (that may be extra). It moves slower and more accurately on the batteries. Has a manual setting with a wired remote about 4 ft long. With the manual setting you have not quite 360 degrees horizontal movement. Manual also has up and down movement of about 30 degrees total. Auto movement is only side to side, set to 45, 90 and 340 degrees.

Q: 4. Could I connect 2 extensions to make my reach longer? Would there be a loss of signal?

A: Hi. I have one of these units and have run two 50' extensions with it. No problems at 100'. I'm looking at ordering another one and when I get extensions for that unit I'll try to test even longer. A LANC controller for my camera also worked well at 100' with two 50' extension cables.

A: Bescor does not make Pan and Tilt Heads that can hold a capacity in the 10-15 pound range I'm afraid. However the Wild Shot Camera CPT 1019 is a great option and has a load capacity up to 13 pounds.

A: I have not used it this way but its well made and I cant imagine it wouldnt work just as well.

Q: 10. Can this handle a Sony FS700 with lens ? - the cam is 4lb - with lens - probably hit 6lbs easily

A: The MP-101 can actually support up to 6 lbs, so if the camera you have is only 4 pounds it will work on it.
