[29 x 21 x 1"] If you’ve put off buying this based on a dissatisfaction with the smaller version, let me assure you this is 100% better. Both the larger size and the internal baffle makes all the difference in accomplishing a truly diffused light. I used this for the first time recently, and the difference in soft, diffused light compared to the smaller one was amazing. That said, the price is ridiculously high, and the size when collapsed is something to consider; it won’t fit in most the portable cases that are available for the lights, themselves.

[Silver] I now have 4 Astras, 2 with the Chimera universal LED Lightbank and 2 with the LitePanels Snapbag. Here are the differences...1) The Chimera blocks the Astra's side vents unless you prop the sides of the Chimera over the knobs (kind of a pain). The Snapbag does not block the vents at all. 2) The Chimera uses an opaque plastic faceplate to maintain the soft box's shape. Unless diffused, the light can add a sheen to on-camera talent. The Snapbag has a metal frame and uses a cloth faceplate available in 3 different densities. Faceplates on both units are attached with velcro. 3) The Chimera is lighter weight and less expensive than the Snapbag. 4) A 50 degree grid is available for the Chimera. A 40 degree grid is available for the Snapbag. Bottom line...you can get pretty much the same look from both soft boxes, but you'll work a lot harder to get it with the Chimera. For the LitePanels Astra, the Snapbag is the better choice.

[3.1 lb] I’ve been a long time chimera user and planned to buy chimera’s universal 1x1 softbox, but having used both - the Snapbag is superior in almost every way. Price is steep, but it’s the best option available

[Foldable] I just set up this new softbox. I attached it to my Astra 6x. Really happy with the inner baffle and 2 sheets of diffusion. Beautiful soft light. All materials seem durable and solid. Is it worth the price? My first thought is yes, but time will tell. This will be an excellent interview light.

Was bummed to find out that the fan must be running in order to achieve full brightness, but when I heard the fan, I knew it wouldn't be a problem. You can only hear the fan if you put your ear a couple inches from it! #silent

Comes with a storage bag which allows the softbox to fold away rather than removing the rods each time, which is awesome. As long as you have a way to transport a flat bag that is 25"x19" you should be good to go.

[3.1 lb] The Snapbag is well built, installs quickly, packs down flat, and does a fine job diffusing your light. Could it be bigger? Yeah, maybe, but for it's size, it does an excellent job.

[Foldable] Purchased two of these along with the Astra’s and they work great! I’ve used Chimera’s for a couple of decades with various lights and love them, too. But, I find that these set up as fast and are of the same quality as the Chimera’s. The first time using them, it did take a bit to get them situated correctly. But now, I can attach them in less than 30 seconds (not counting the front defusion). I like the fact that you don’t need a speed ring, and they fold up fast. They are worth the extra money and will last as long as anything else out there.
