A: According to Presonus, when the interface is powered via USB which is required when using an iPad, the unit will not charge when in use, however should maintain a charge. The unit will be compatible with most third party apps capable of recording audio.

A: No, this is compatible with Windows and Mac OS only.

Q: 3. Can you specify Cat6, Cat5, Cat5e?

A: The Presonus EarMix 16M can utilize Cat5e or Cat6 network cables. The primary differences between CAT5e and CAT6 cable are the wire gauge of the conductors and the number of twists per inch in each wire pair. Both types of these cables have the ability to handle the speed required for the stream- and channel-counts involved.

[3.55 lb] You bought the board, you bring it to some shows at bars, you've been putting it on your passenger seat, where you can keep an eye on it. Maybe it's time to get some real protection.I put my board in a case. It's a nice tilt-up case. However, I can not access the headphone jack when I use this case. So I ditched the case.This bag offers a great deal of protection. It fits snugly. It is well-padded. It has room for a laptop and a few cables. While it is not as bulletproof as my Gator case, it will protect $ worth of equipment well enough I won't worry about moving it around from place to place.Another plus, in the bag, it takes up less room than the case did. True, you won't want to stack a half ton of crap on top of it. And yet, I seem to be able to find a place for it among all the other large and heavy equipment I feel I need for a bar gig in my rather small vehicle.Listen, there is no reason to move your SL 1602 around without this bag at least. You're reading this review because you are thinking about it. It's $. Don't be a moron. Get the bag. 5

[3.55 lb] My new 16 channel mobile rig consists of a 16R, a Dell laptop and a router. 2-track mix to SD card and multitrack to Dell laptop. Wireless control with iPad. Not even a hiccup. When I'm recording a rhythm section in my studio I connect the 16R to my Presonus SL Ser 3 and use the 16R as an AVB stagebox in the drum room. Very happy with this combination. 5
