The BlackRapid Wrist Camera Strap FR-5 FastenRfrom BlackRapid Wrist Camera Strap FR-5 FastenRis a nylon wrist strap with a carabiner and a D-ring with a 1/4"-20 screw. The FR-5 D-ring allows you to directly attach your camera to the strap. [Yes] Really the best in its class. Worth 5 star review for the product quality but too dang expensive. Also, I wish it had two to three more threads...Feel like the thread maybe short but I've been using this thing for few years to hold my flagship cameras and it's been great. 5

[Yes] This well-made fastener can be attached to the tripod mount of a tele lens. This makes switching camera/lens easy. The only disadvantage is that you lose the tripod mount. On the other hand, it is the best fastener for a camera strap. 5

[Yes] The rubber washer makes these day in place better than some others I've used. Buy a couple of extra, you will need it sooner or later. 5

[Nylon] It seems to be very solid and screws to any 1/4-20 hole very securely I trust this with my $7000 rig hanging from it, when in the field. I feel safer with this mount as opposed to the QD mounts. Unfortunately the photo manufacturing industry has not quantized the QD mount to a universal standard so sometimes one manufacturer of L brackets for the R-5 (Sunway photo) will have a faulty QD socket causing your expensive rig to come crashing down on the cement pavement which happened to me. Luckily just my lenshood took the brunt of the damage. Needless to say I don't trust QD mounts and feel much more secure with the 1/4-20 screw mount such as this one. And it's almost as quick to remove.... Just several rotations and it's off. Let's face it, wouldn't you rather have the security of a mount you KNOW won't fail? 5
