The highly flexible QSC SPA4-60 4-Channel Power Amplifier is an advanced Class-D amplifier with Energy Star rated efficiency well suited for smaller installations including meeting rooms or BGM zones. The convection cooled amplifier is designed to conserve energy. An auto-ramp circuit ensures quiet and fast power up from standby when a signal is present and seamless power-down following 25 minutes of inactivity, dramatically reducing power consumption.

The rear panel utilizes Euroblock connectors for inputs and outputs as well as remote inputs. Each channel of the SPA4 provides 60W of power, while the bridge mode provides 100W continuous into 4 or 8 ohms and 125W into 70/100V.

[Class-D] A small, light, quiet, transparent amplifier with 4 channels (2 stereo pair for me) to solve a problem in my home studio. I drive a pair of Yamaha NS-10M and a pair of UREI 809s (yeah, old school) and use the volume controls to switch between them when monitoring my work. Plenty of power for my control room (remember, it's a home installation). A little pricey but I trust QSC and they delivered. They worked as advertised, the documentation was great, no problems. I did consider ditching the speakers and getting a pair of powered monitors, but I am used to listening to these and they haven't let me down yet. 5

[6.6 lb] Changing from a QSC GX5; a reliable amp but heavy with the transformer for clean power. This amp is easy to match with my QSC E series speakers used as monitors or on stands. The speakers sound so much better with the additional power and the DSP specific settings are just amazing! Other DSP settings makes me want to go with unpowered subs and get another GXD8, 1 for each stereo side. 5

[6.6 lb] My previous amp ran the fans from front to rear, but I prefer the way this amp blows from rear (inside the rack) to front. The RMX 850a has standard balanced input connectors, and multiple output connectors including advanced SpeakON. It's easy to configure for bridging, limiting, filtering, or other standard options. 5

[> 100 dB] I've used the older model of this for about 12 years now for a theater that specializes in plays. They've lasted forever and I was replacing an older crown model that had an amp channel go out. This model has great gain with low noise coming off of our Ls9. Highly recommend it. 5

[4] We are using this 2-channel amplifier to power 4 subwoofers wired in parallel, as the specs explicitly show support for our expected low-impedance setup and expected wattage. Note the unit is 3 RUs tall, make sure there is enough space in the rack if replacing an expired amplifier. The standard NEMA 5-15P (15 amp power plug) removable IEC included allowed for easy integration within our existing rack PDU setup. The simple, tried-and-true analog input wiring and dip switches were easy to integrate with our DSP, set preferred mode and filters. The physical power switch on the front is nice for our use case. The front dial appears to operate by digitally switching between gain steps, rather than a smooth analog potentiometer with physical start and stop limits. Not an issue for us but worth noting. We were impressed with the power output this amp is capable of, allowing us to drive the connected subwoofers at higher power levels than the previous amp could achieve given our low-impedance setup. For the sake of intelligibility, we dialed everything back enough to make our desired sub shake felt-not-heard but balanced with the meeting space's intended audio sources. 5
