Updating the staple DX-format standard zoom, the Nikon AF-P DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lensfrom Nikon AF-P DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lensoffers a 27-82.5mm equivalent focal length range as well as an especially sleek form factor. Two aspherical elements are featured in the optical design, which help to control spherical aberrations and distortion in order to realize high sharpness and accurate rendering. A Super Integrated Coating is also used to minimize flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color accuracy. Suiting both photo and video applications, the AF-P designation indicates the use of a pulse stepping motor that offers notably quiet, fast, and precise autofocus performance. Standard zoom spans wide-angle to portrait focal lengths and is designed for Nikon F-mount DX-format cameras, where it provides a 27-82.5mm equivalent range.

Two aspherical elements are used to reduce spherical aberrations and distortion in order to realize sharp imagery with accurate rendering.

A Super Integrated Coating has been applied to individual elements to suppress internal reflections, flare, and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy when working in strong lighting conditions.

AF-P pulse motor uses stepping motors to deliver impressively smooth, quiet, and fast autofocus performance that is well-suited to both stills and video applications.

VR (Vibration Reduction) image stabilization helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake by four stops to benefit shooting handheld in difficult lighting conditions.

Rounded seven-blade diaphragm promotes a pleasing out of focus quality that benefits the use of shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques.

A retractable lens barrel design maintains an especially compact form factor when the lens is not in use. Additionally, autofocus and VR switches have been removed from the lens design for a sleek profile; these operations are now accessible in compatible cameras' menu systems.

A: Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens will not work on a Nikon F60 (Nikon N60 in the USA) as desired as this particular lens is for APS-C image sensor format (DX) whereas the Nikon F60 is a 35mm format camera.

[APS-C] My first plastic mount lens purchased as refurb and is like new. It is a sharp lens, but one should expect that from the modest max aperture.
If you have not experienced the focus consistency and speed of an AF-P lens, this would be a very economical choice to do so. Whether using your camera's phase detect or contrast detect (Live View), focusing is instantaneous.
As I said, the lens is sharp, especially the middle two-thirds of the frame. Corners are soft from 18-35mm, getting better as you zoom in, and the edges behave likewise, but not as badly as the corners. I noticed this during my testing on flat objects, but it just is not noticeable in the way I take pictures. Image quality is WAY better than my 16-35 f/4 VR in EVERY way.
The VR works well, but I don't get 4 stops like some can claim.
If this were a $1,500 lens, I would give it four stars for the slow aperture, but it's cost is actually one tenth of that, so 5 stars is appropriate.
Before purchasing, make sure you check the compatibility for your cameras!

[55 mm (Front)] Of course, this could never beat a prime lens, but for versatility, it's great. It's light, works smoothly, and reasonably sharp. It works well for my intended use - hiking trails in the heavily forested Northeast.

[Nikon F] This is the sharpest lens that I have found for my DX camera (D7500). Extremely fast focusing and very sharp. The only downside is that the AF/MF and VR control is handled by the camera and not with barrel switches. Not really a problem as I always leave VR on. Very compact and light which is a real plus when you lug the camera around all day. Great price for what you get.

[55 mm (Front)] Works great on my Z50 with FTZ adapter. It’s my cheapest lens in my growing collection but I keep going back to it. It’s so versatile and great for video as well as sky shots when I want wide angle but not fisheye. Full disclosure: I’m a complete amateur just learning photography.

[f/3.5 to 5.6] This refurbished lens works as it should, is indistinguishable from a new lens except for its packaging and limited 90-day warranty. Optically it is very good, in a nice lightweight housing. Obviously not as durable as a heavier and more expensive 18-xx lens, but should work well for a casual walk-around lens. A genuine bargain.
