A: The hahnel Captur Timer Kit for Canon DSLR Cameras is a two part shutter release. The receiver needs to be connected to the camera via a wired connection. With the receiver connected, the transmitter can trigger it wirelessly at up to 328' away.

Q: 10. Does this receiver have a 1/4 X 20 socket for mounting on a tripod, etc?

A: Unfortunately, this receiver does not have a 1/4-20 socket on the bottom. It can only attach with a cold shoe attachment or onto to the hot shoe of a camera.

[0.25 lb] I use this to hide my flash when shooting real estate. The flash can be hidden behind furniture, across the room, or even on a separate floor. Doesn't matter, it'll work, the range is great. 5

[2.4 GHz] I have a Fujifilm X-T4 which uses the NP-W235 batteries, and a Fujifilm X-S10 which uses the older Fujifilm NP-W126S batteries. I also use Panasonic Eneloop AA rechargeable batteries for my flash units. All those varied batteries meant I had to haul around 3 different chargers, which was a pain. I ended up buying this Hahnel Pro Cube 2 charger, and it comes with 3 different interchangeable plates. One for the NP-W235 batteries, one for the NP-W126S batteries, and one plate to charge 4 of the Panasonic batteries at the same time. It also comes with different plugs, depending on which country you're in, plus a 12v battery plug so you can charge your batteries while traveling in your car. This unit will also charge your batteries, two at a time, from depleted to full in 50 minutes. All in all, it's a great product, and it saves quite a bit of space in my camera bag. Highly recommended. 5

[2.4 GHz] I bought two and they are very good. They seem better built than the OEM batteries and last a long time. Since Fuji decided to discontinue its production of the battery for the 50 and 100 series, this makes a great alternative. 5

[2x AA] I switched to Hahnel for a couple of reasons. One is the ability to attach a flash, to your camera, and have the remote fire both at the same time. The other reason is that you are able to purchase extra receivers to use with additional flashes and/or cameras. They work flawlessly. 5

[0.25 lb] Have had many shutter releases with cords that short out. This one has a cord too, but it only goes from the unit to the camera, and will not be jostled around, ergo no shorting out :) Works as good or better than corded shutter releases. 5
