A: No these will not work on the Oben CT 3500

A: Probably not a great idea. Even with the legs fully spread, if you have a diffuser or reflector on your light even a light breeze could knock it over. Indoor use, should be alright.

Q: 4. I would prefer to have a flip lock than a twist lock, but how is this locking mechanism? How many turns do you need to do to open it and securely lock it? Do you recommend these legs for light & heavy payloads?

A: It should only take one rotation to lock and unlock.

[Twist Lock] These rods were exactly what I needed for extending my accessories on the back of my SONY PXW-FS5. I'm using a V mount battery now that is mounted to the back of these rods were just what I needed. They are a must buy if you have any type of camera rig set up. 5

[Carbon Fiber] I was hesitant to buy these tripod legs since there is almost no information on the internet about them but, it seemed like the perfect travel tripod. Well, they have fulfilled all of my expectations! I attached a Manfrotto fluid head to the top and the whole tripod when collapsed measures just under 19 inches and weighs less than 4lbs. Their ball-leveling system is absolutely brilliant - its so much easier to use and with no tightening knob/handle underneath the bowl, the low angle possibilities with this tripod are awesome. I highly recommend this tripod to anyone who is looking to travel small and light without compromising on build quality and performance. 5
