Q: 1. Does it have weather sealing rubber ring at the mount?

A: Yes, the Hasselblad XCD 30mm f/3.5 Lens has a weather sealing rubber ring at the mount.

Q: 2. does it come with lens hood?

A: yes - comes with metal lens hood and leather lens pouch

Q: 3. What is the country of origin for the XCD lenses?

A: The country of origin for this lens is Sweden.

Q: 4. Are there any filters compatible with this lens hood?

A: No, the FotodioX Lens Hood for Hasselblad 50mm Distagon C does not have filter threads to allow a filter to be attached.

Q: 5. Why aperture F/3.5 works only for zoom 35 and 40, not for 50 to 75?

A: The maximum aperture on Hasselblad XCD 35-75mm f/3.5-4.5 Lens is variable. It is maximum 3.5 at the wider angle setting. As you zoom in the lens the maximum aperture changes to 4.5. That is a normal operation of the lens.

Q: 6. Does this work with the Sony Alpha 6600 (and other Alphas in the 6000 series)?

Q: 8. Why is the autofocus not working with the X2D?

A: It's working on mine.

Q: 9. Does autofocus work with the H lenses using this adapter or is it manual focus only?

A: Yes, autofocus works with H lenses when using this Hasselblad 0.8 XH Converter for HC or HCD Lens to X System Cameras BH #HA08XHC • MFR #CP.HB.00000627.01 but not with all lenses. The lenses and camera need the latest firmware update as well. According to Hasselblad, All H System lenses with firmware 18.0.0 or later must be updated to the newest version 19.1.0 to work with the XH Converter 0,8 and to get auto focus (HC 120 and HC 120 II can only be used in manual focus mode). Other H System lenses (except HC 120 and HC 120 II) with firmware older than 18.0.0 will work but only in manual focus mode. Please note that only HC/HCD lenses with firmware 18.0.0 or later can be updated to 19.1.0. Lenses with older firmware have older hardware and therefore cannot be updated. Additionally, the X1D-50c must be updated with firmware 1.25.0 or later and the X1D II 50C, 907X 50C and 907X Special Edition cameras must all be updated with firmware 1.4.0 or later. Q: 10. I assume this hood attaches to the lens like the drop-in filter ring does. Can drop in filters still be used with this?

A: Unfortunately the FotodioX Lens Hood for Hasselblad 50mm Distagon C cannot be used with drop in filters.

[63°] Picked this up used from B&H. The 0.8 is one of those photo items that lives up to billing. It improves the center and especially outboard (of center) lens performance and reduces CA. It gives any HC lens used with it the same FoV as if the lens were used on the larger 100mp CMOS or older 60MP CCD back. With the simple tube XH adapter, an HC80 has the FoV of ~64mm and max aperture of 2.8 on an X_D. No different than if used on a Fuji GFX body with their adapter. However, using this adapter instead, that F0V widens to ~54mm with an effective F2.2 max aperture on an X_D - with a notable increase in sharpness across the lens. Really no downside other than $.

[49 x 37 cm] Excellent optical quality. Increases the angular coverage on your X series camera to match what you had on your H series camera, even though the sensor is smaller. Also effectively increases the amount of light reaching the sensor. If you are using H lenses with an X camera, this is a very economical way to expand your lens arsenal.

[4.355 lb] So, this is a great lens. But... the first copy I got was not sharp. I don't blame B&H for this -- in fact, replacing this for another lens was quite easy and the new lens is excellent. Great sharpness corner to corner. Wide open is a bit softer than closed down 1-2 stops, but even wide open the sharpness is excellent.

[f/32] This lens is excellent! I use it every day for landscapes and dayily photos. Very good build quality and weather sealing. Very good and fast autofocus with X1DII.Manual focus is precise and very smooth. Optical this lens is sharp and gives nice creamy bokeh. Distortion is minimal and dose not really need correction like XCD 45F4 .I had XCD 45p F4, but decide to sale it and get XCD 45F3.5.And it was not a mistake! I really enjoy XCD 45 F3.5! And i also understand why this lens cost much more than F4. The difference is huge. This lens is PROFESSONAL! The lens is worth every invested cent! Now i can enjoy photography with Hasselblad X1DII and XCD 45F3.5!

[0.11x] This lens is like the story of the three bears when Goldilocks finally gets to the right place at the table. This lens is not too big and not too small and just right for full figure portrait work. Also good for landscapes when when don't need a huge scope of the image. Very sharp, very workable.

[Autofocus] Very happy with image quality. Distortion is well controlled with LR lens correction. A joy to use. This is what stays on my X2D. Expensive, but they all are excepting the 45mm p. Well built.

[49 x 37 cm] Super sharp lens, wonderfully built. I'm using the lens for landscapes and am loving it, along with the 90mm. Would have loved for Hasselblad to offer their lenses w/out shutter for half the cost. I'm finding both 45mm and 90mm shutter mechanisms to not be accurate once the exposure is more than a couple seconds, with the lens shutter producing totally different results over the E shutter with exactly same exposure settings. Maybe that's the nature of the lens shutters, but that is silly for the price. Still giving it 5 stars because the image quality is stunning.
