Distinguished by a uniquely fast and versatile design, the Sigma SA-mount Sigma 18-35mm & 50-100mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art Lenses Kit SAis an Art-series zoom, covering wide-angle to normal focal lengths. Separating itself from the pack, this zoom features an exceedingly bright f/1.8 constant maximum aperture, which suits its use in difficult lighting conditions and offers impressive depth of field control throughout the zoom range. The optical design incorporates a series of SLD and aspherical elements, which help to achieve high clarity and sharpness by suppressing various aberrations, color fringing, and distortion. A Super Multi-Layer Coating has also been applied, too, which controls lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy. Balancing the optical merits, this 18-35mm also sports an advanced Hyper Sonic Motor, along with an internal focusing design, to promote fast, quiet, and precise autofocus performance.

As part of the Art line within Sigma's Global Vision series, this lens is designed to achieve truly notable optical performance and is ideally suited for creative and artistic applications.

Wide-to-normal zoom is designed for APS-C-format Sigma SA-mount cameras and provides a 27-52.5mm equivalent focal length range.

Impressively bright constant f/1.8 maximum aperture is well-suited for working in low-light conditions and also provides greater control over the focus position when using shallow depth of field techniques.

Five Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements are featured in the optical design and help to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations for improved clarity and color accuracy.

Four aspherical elements are used to help limit distortion and spherical aberrations and also contribute to greater overall sharpness and accurate rendering.

A Super Multi-Layer Coating has been applied to lens elements in order to minimize lens flare and ghosting and contribute to producing contrast-rich and color-neutral imagery, even in backlit conditions.

Integrated HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor), along with an internal focusing system, realizes quick and quiet autofocus, which is further complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to produce smoother focusing performance. The HSM also permits full-time manual focus control simply by rotating the focus ring at any time.

Rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh quality.

Constructed using a Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material for greater precision and use in wide temperature variations. Additionally, a brass bayonet affords improved mounting accuracy and rigidity.

This lens is compatible with the optional Sigma USB Dock for fine-tuning different lens characteristics and updating its firmware.

[APS-C] Great lens but by the time you add an adapter for emount camera (25mm) and do the 1.5 reduction for APS-c you get a 64mm by 90 lens.

[9, Rounded] I did a lot of reading before I bought this lens. I own a few Canon L lenses and really like the quality of the images they produce. I haven't purchased anything unless it had Canon and L on the lens. I wanted a fast wide angle lens and the Canon lenses I would love to get are just too expensive and hard to justify. This lens is super clear and crisp and also does great on video. I use it on my 70D and with the touch screen auto focus, it is amazing what it will do, and in low light with the 1.8 aperture. I would love to have it on a full frame some day! One thing, it is robust and packs a little extra weight.

[Autofocus] Sharp and really good color management in both photo and video. Moreover autofocus works really well on my Sony a6300 body with a Sigma MC-11 adapter. However focuses a bit slower on my older Canon 550d body. So as far as I know, it's autofocus works better on new Canon and Sony bodies.

[Autofocus] If you are on the fence, as I was then get off! This lens is phenomenal. Great build quality excellent glass, great price! Yes a lot of people have this lens but for good reason. It is tack sharp and the bokeh is terrific. I wasted almost a year thinking about this lens, getting it was a great decision! Get yours you will not regret it.

[76.5° to 44.2°] Bought the lens for vlogging use to shoot at 1.8 instead of using the canon 10-18mm 4-5.6 to blur the background and get more of that cinematic look people are after.... the video is sick! I’d love it to be a tad wider even when holding it out on a JOBY gorillapod, as I found myself consistently shooting at 10mm on the last lens, but you can’t complain when you have a wide angle zoom this fast. I use it with a rode video micro and you can hear the focus occasionally even with the external mic and that never happened with the canon, but it’s slight and if you’re talking or there’s ambient noise you can’t hear it so I haven’t had to throw away footage because of it, it’s still quieter than most lenses. Autofocus is fast but a tad slower than the cheap canon which always seemed to be instant. The zoom ring is heavy, almost too heavy, but it’s not something that will bug you after getting used to it. All these sound like negatives but let me tell you, the video looks amazing and it’s a great range for vlogging so I couldn’t be happier and it accepts filters so I can use a variable ND unlike the 20mm 1.4 which I considered, and would definitely have got if it were strictly for photos. If you’re using this for photos not much of this review will be useful but I can tell you, I’m now using it for my video thumbnails and the shots at 1.8 look great. When it’s all said and done, there’s no perfect lens out there but this one does an amazing job.... 5 stars Sigma!

[76.5° to 44.2°] I'm just a hobbyist when it comes to photography but love the art and the technical sides of it. I'm into street photography, portraitures, and taking pictures at family gatherings mostly. At first, I was looking into a 24mm or 35mm prime lens and then saw this standard zoom lens at f/1.8! I checked out some reviews on Youtube and pretty much everyone spoke highly of it. It's so sharp. I use it on a Canon T5i. Although I do wish it had image stabilization, I can live without it as I don't do much video (as of right now). It's a little heavy but I don't mind it. In my opinion...since it doesn't have IS, it's better that it's got some weight. It makes it somewhat easier to hold steady while recording video. Great lens overall!

[72 mm (Front)] This is an awesome lens. I use it for B-Roll on my Lumix G85 and it rocks. Color rendition, sharpness -- all grade A.

One inconvenience is the noise it makes when attached via a speedbooster/focal reducer. Turning off continous autofocus alleviates it, but it still makes noise during tap to focus. This seems to be a known issue. So don't look this one up if you wish to use it for vlogging.
