Q: 8. Do any of your BNC to BNC connectors connect an Atomos Shogun or Sound Device Pix-E to the newer cameras coming out like that of the BlackMagic Ursa mini, AJA Cion, or Kinemax? There's no real good tutorial on 6G or 12G SDI tutorial on the web that educates you or instructs you on how to properly choose or use those features since everyone's go to is HDMI. Thank you

A: The folks at Convergent Design tell their recorder's users to make sure they 3G-SDI certified cables to avoid problems. Since their recorders are more robust than those you list, I suspect that would be a good starting place. Not sure at all what you mean by everyone's go to is HDMI. HDMI is a consumer connection, not a professional one, and plagued by quality and connection issues. I can't imagine why anyone would prefer it over SDI .... I know of no professional camera asst (or DP working alone) who would rig a camera with an HDMI cable unless it was a special purpose shot with a camera that didn't have SDI output.

[BNC Male] I use it to run 1080p5994 3G-SDI camera feeds to the switcher, and this does the trick. Good solid signal, no dropouts. Pros Flexible, lays flat, well shielded. Cons If you don't have people who know how to wrap a cable this long it can twist easily and get kinked, but that's the nature of flexible cabling. Cost, you can build this cable much cheaper by buying the reel and the ends and making it yourself, but if you don't have time like me then this is a solid cable to get. 5

[BNC Male] I've used Canare cables for my rigs and Teradeks for about 5 years now. I've yet to have one fail, which is remarkable. So Many other brands fail, and sometimes I'm tempted to try another brand that sells a "slim" version - but how robust the Canare cables feel seem to be a direct correlation to their longevity. Highly recommended! 5

[BNC Male] Needed a 3G 750hm record run for studio work. Camera to outboard recorder. Beefy BNC connector. Ran a few tests prior to a 4 day shoot. Never - Never had signal break up or pixel shift. Worth every penny if you wed a flexible 3G cable. Put it to work - performed flawlessly. 5
