Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can my gopro hero4 silver attach to this?

A: There is probably a way to clamp it on but it's a complex solution for something as tiny as a go pro. Is there a small go pro specific stand or lightweight tripod you could use? The stand shown here is really intended for heavy lighting equipment.

Q: 2. Does anyone know the weight of this?

A: Hi,The weight of this C-Stand is 13.6 lbs and has a capacity of 22lbs.Regards,Will

Q: 3. what is the maximum height without the riser?

A: With this sliding leg stand the base cannot be removed.

Q: 4. Can the legs be removed for easier transportation and storage?

A: Yes, they are easily removed.

Q: 5. What is the difference between a Turtle Base and a Sliding Base?

A: The turtle base is a mechanism that allows you to pull on a spring loaded ring around the base just above the legs, thus releasing them and allowing gravity to collapse or open the stand quick and easy, unlike many stands which require you to push the legs together. The sliding leg allows the highest leg to slide up to accommodate uneven surfaces (stairs, hills, etc.) so your stand and light don't fall over.

Q: 6. What is the packing size for this product? I am trying to order a case in preparation for buying one and am looking for length, width and depth. The Specs say 2 measurements for length... Minimum Height 48.8 Closed Length 42 Which one is correct for packing/ transporting?

A: The closed length would be the correct measurement when determining the correct type of case for these stands. For reference, Manfrotto LBAG110 Quick Stack Light Stand Bag, (Large) B&H # MALBAG110 is the dedicated case for these stands. Please see the image below.

Q: 7. Does this come with a bag?

A: No, you have to buy the bag separate

Q: 8. What are the full dimensions of these stands when they are folded up and connected to one another?

A: The 3 stands fit perfectly in the Manfrotto LBag110; the dimensions of the bag are: 43.31 x 7.87 (110 x 20cm) (LxD). If you get the stands, definitely get the bag too. Excellent quality & a perfect fit!

Q: 9. What strap is recommended to use to clip into the loops on the stand to make for easier carrying?

A: Generally if carrying a set of 3 of these stands, using a bag is better. One such bag is the Manfrotto LBAG110 Quick Stack Light Stand Bag, (Large), B&H # MALBAG110. https://bhpho.to/2YltfEr

Q: 10. Can you put sandbags on this unit without them sliding off on the bottom?

A: No problem if you put them on the cross braces.

[Yes] Returned a lastolite kit coz it claimed to have a manfrotto 1052 stand. The umbrella was awesome but the stand I got was not as advertised. Am glad I did. This is the first quality stand I own but I doubt anything else is better for the price. Maybe just as good but not better. Solid solid stand with excellent hardware. Best is that it folds flat and stacks together with other Compatible stands. I plan on owning another so the stackable feature was a must for me. Yes, it is much much more expensive than the one I returned, which had air cushioning and seemed solid but its much much better quality. Like comparing a Ferrari with the best car Toyota produces if that makes sense. Highly recommended. I am gentle with my equipment and I know this will last a lifetime.

[Black] I use 4 of these stands for lighting at wedding venues. These are great! The stands are easy to handle, air cushioned, and open/close easily. Kinda heavy but worth the investment.

[Round] I have a lot of different light stands. From lightweight to heavy duty. I feel like this one is a great middle ground. The only negative I'd say is that it is long when folded. I look forward to getting more so I can try out the quick stack system. Definitely recommend.

[9.85 lb] I've been a long time fan of Manfrotto and they only continue to impress me with their high quality and attention to design details. I love the way these stands hook together as well as lay flat. They offer great weight support and height reach for their size. Very stable overall.

[9.85 lb] Having had many, many cheap light stands in the past I decided to stop wasting money and go for something a little better. I am definitley happy I did, this lightstand is well built and is smooth in action throughout. You know that this is going to be strong and reliable when you feel it and the stacking ability will help me with space in my bag. Will definitely be buying more very soon.
