When extending HDMI over long distances using standard video cabling, higher resolutions can become unavailable. Using the HDMI signal booster ensures that you'll still be able to depend on high-definition resolutions up to 1080p at 60 Hz.

The HDMI booster features an equalization switch with ten different levels. The equalization switch lets you adjust the amplification of your HDMI signal based on the distance of your cables, so that you can ensure your HDMI signal will work even at distances up to 115'.

With its small form factor, the HDMI booster is easy to hide, for a discreet installation. You don't need an external power adapter to operate the signal booster, and it includes mounting hardware, so installing it is hassle-free.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this be used to directly connect a usb 3.0 dvd (like the Pioneer BDR-XD05B) to a smart tv without a computer?

A: Not sure but most likely not, since this requires a driver so a computer with OS (either Windows or Mac) is needed. You can also reach out to the manufacturer and ask.

Q: 2. Would I be able to convert the feed from an Camera with an HDMI cable to the USB 3.0 while keeping the resolution?

A: I do not know. The product is advertised to convert from USB 3 to HDMI with no indication that it can convert in the other direction (other than, presumably, for basic device communication). You need to ask the manufacturer.

Q: 3. Does this work on Windows 7 pro 64 bit?

A: Yes, this would work with Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit

Q: 4. Can this be used on a MacMini (2014) to run a 3rd Monitor?

A: I did use it on a MacMini to run my primary screen at 4K. It runs OK.

Q: 5. I typically use 3 or 4 TVs as monitors and the main source of my signal come from my iPad. Providing that all of the TVs have HDMI Inputs does the age or model matter. Secondly, is there a special sequence in setting all of the cable inputs at each time of use?

A: I and using my iMac and running a projector and 3 TVs in my classroom. I use a display port to hdmi adapter and then hdmi cables to everything else. Not sure if it would be the same for an iPad or not but has worked great off my iMac. Make sure the TVs are on prior to switching it on otherwise itll freak the iPad out a little. My iMac flickers if I leave the hdmi switcher on and then turn the TVs and projector on. Hope this helps.

Q: 6. can i use this to connect multiple displays to my laptop? If so, will I be able to view separate applications on each monitor; not mirrored?

A: This only mirrors the display, you do not have the ability to configure screens separately.

Q: 7. Can you use this to bring in video from a Go Pro or DSLR camera?

A: No, that would not work, you would need something like this https://bhpho.to/2KJv6tI

Q: 8. Will this device strip HDCP?

A: No, pass thru. Whatever's on the input ends up on the output. You want it that way because if source doesn't get an HDCP handshake, it won't cooperate, anyway. :-)

Q: 9. Will this create a new source on my TV?

A: It will not, this goes in the opposite direction. This takes a single source and splits it out to 4.

Q: 10. Does this unit support ARC for 1 device? Splitting AV receiver to 2 TVs, would like ARC from TV1 when internal tuner is used.

A: I don't know about ARC. I have used other KANEX products with great success. This particular KANEX product is not recommended. Plastic housing and signal was not reliable at even 50 feet.

[1x HDMI] This product does what is it supposed to do.  But that is not the most important factor of my review.  When our state’s governor said our Mennonite community could not meet in our sanctuary because of the exponential increase in COVID-19, I was asked to put together live streaming for our worship the next Sunday.  Of course our church had never done anything similar and my previous experience
was hooking up a home DVD player.  I needed to order a number of items, get them shipped and received, and set them up in the sanctuary before Sunday.

In the midst of a pandemic in NYC and NJ I knew B&H would do their best to get the items shipped. We made the Sunday deadline and the response from the community was gratifying.

Thanks, B&H.

[0.35 lb] This small thing saved me time and energy while attempting to extend my video live capture... It works great and furnish auto-power to aliment itself when both ends of the HDMI in and out are connected. At first I was wondering how to pull an extended cord of outlet to charge it... and I found out it was not even needed! And Video streaming are clear and great! That little thing device is of great value and worth...

But... I just purchased it, so will see how long will it last

[0.35 lb] I am using a 50ft HDMI extension: source-50ft cord-booster-8ft cord. At first no signal would come though. When I added the booster, the signal worked but would drop intermittently. So I added the power adapter and everything works fine.

[1x HDMI] This little inexpensive HDMI amplifier block was inserted into a line from a consumer camera going to the video switcher in our church. The specs said that the input side should not exceed 80-feet or so. We knew we had exceeded that by about 10-feet and had been warned that the output signal from a consumer-grade camera was not as robust as that from a Blu-Ray player or cable box. There was fear that this unit would not clean up the red sparkles in the picture on black objects we suffered from. But when the booster was inserted in place of a cable coupler close to the switcher input selector the picture jumped to correct color rendering. We are completely satisfied with the product and probably will order another to hold for future use. It performs better than the advertised specs in a tough situation.

[1x HDMI] We operate a church broadcast system and needed to transmit the audio and video across a 1600' RF link. The radios show variable download bandwidth between 30 and 80 Mbps. We have experienced excellent reception with no video or audio drops or freezing.

[1x HDMI] Been having this for 3 years non stop, and been working GREAT. Never had to even use the DC connector , cause both Hdmi bring in enough power to power on the device and boost connectivity. Video output crystal clear.

I think today Bought 4 or 5 units.
Will definitely recommend

[0.35 lb] A while back I bought a KVM for my various systems and several Raspberry PIs. The HDMI didn't work for the PIs. I thought it was a problem with the KVM. I saw online that someone suggested boosting the HDMI signal, so I bought this. I plugged it in between the monitor and KVM and it did the trick. All my PIs now have HDMI. I didn't need the 5v power supply.

[1x HDMI] Was having issues with my signal dropping in and out. I could not display 1080 at all until I installed this device. Now I get 1080P signal to the TV in the garage. It is roughly 125 ft.from the cable HDMI splitter and works great.
