So why bother to use DL vs Single Layer DVDs.The specs on your unit refers to 480 minutes record time (Audio/Video spec)......I think this would correlate to 4.5 GB of data (Computer data spec).FYI the DL (Double Layer) is twice the capacity of a single layer recordable DVD which is 9.8 GB or twice as much Audio/Video provided you equipment can use the 2nd layer to record or play from.Again ............Why pay the extra money if you can't use the extra features ....i.e. the second layer.Hope this helps
