With anamorphic, in order to maintain perspective, the rule of thumb is to 2X the focal length for the focal length you would normally use. In Super16, the Rule Of Thumb (ROT) with regular lenses: wide is 12mm, normal is 25mm and telephoto is 50mm. When shooting in anamorphic, you would then consider 25mm the wide, 50mm the normal and 100mm the telephoto. With this 35mm anamorphic lens, you would be getting a moderate wide perspective in the frame. This of course is not the same thing as the wide aspect ratio you are shooting in.
