Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this stand work outdoors? Or should I order one with two points of attachment for windier days?

A: Yes, the Studio Essentials Pop-Up Background and Reflector Stand may be used outdoors. However, as with all stands (especially for outdoor usage), I recommend using a sandbag on the base of the stand for extra ballast support purposes, such as one or two of the Impact Filled Saddle Sandbag (15 lb, Black), B&H # IMSBFB15.

Q: 2. Can the base be separated from the column?

A: This stand is not designed for the column to be removed.

Q: 3. I think I know the answer, but will the leather Fuji case fit with the grip on?

A: Ive not tried it. Mine never goes in the case.

Q: 4. Would this be a good umbrella for a photo booth set up? I'd use with my canon 580EX strobe.

A: It should work very well. I use this umbrella with a homemade bracket for three SB-910 strobes. I am pleased with the results and quality of the umbrella.

Q: 5. Is there a wheel kit for this stand?

A: These are the wheels the manufacturer calls for https://bhpho.to/3bAPnNW.

Q: 6. does this have a rubber seal so it doesn't scratch the camera where it rubs against?

A: There is no rubber seal. The thumb grip attaches securely into the flash shoe and does not have any loose/sloppy tolerance. The aluminum thumb hook/rest stays about 1mm off the camera body, never touching it.

Q: 7. Does this stand have hanger pins to hang off a wall/truck mount? And if so, how high are they from the ground when the stand is closed?

A: No. The stand does not have hanger pins to hang off a wall/truck mount.

Q: 8. Is this arm static or does it articulate up and down?

A: The O.C. White ProBoom Ultima Gen2 is able to articulate both horizontally and vertically.

Q: 9. Can I add wheels to this stand? Which ones do you suggest?

A: The Manfrotto Short Wind-Up Stand (Black, 9') BH #MA087NWSHB is compatible with B&H # MA104 or B&H # MA104G.

Q: 10. Does the main hinge allow it to swing all the way around on itself so it can be effectively folded in half horizontally when not in use?

A: Yes you can fold the OC White ProBoom Ultima Gen2 in half.

[Crank] My only complaint, after years of using an electric sit/stand desk in my office, is that cranking to change height is a bit slow and laborious. Takes about a minute to crank it up from sitting to standing height, and a bit more shaky at height. Still an excellent value for the money. Allow 20 minutes for assembly, and have a mallet handy.

[3] Nearly made the mistake of buying this same exact product from another Standup Desk vendor, but got for waaay less with B&H (bought 2 for L shaped desk w/ free shipping all in for about $700; other sites were $1,000+ for same thing).

The frame is very sturdy and works very well going from sit to stand position with the hand crank arm. The MDF top is pretty much a joke though; WAY too thin so you can feel it flex a bit if you even lean on it a bit. Planning on just replacing the top with a butcher block top from Lowes or HD once the MDF top it came with wears out.

[114 lb] I'm 6' tall and at maximum height, and monitor lifted to max height, I have the perfect view of my screen. Easy to crank up and down. Takes a little work to go up, but hey that's manual for ya. Pretty sturdy. Can shake a little at max height. No product label anywhere on the table. Why? Not proud of their product? Still it works, can't complain.

[MDF, PVC, Steel] So easy to assemble, so easy to set the right height for me to use it as a standing desk, and it looks stunning in my home office!

[MDF, PVC, Steel] Easy to put together, very heavy duty. Adjusting the desk up and down is no problem, simply crank the handle which takes almost no effort. One small problem was that my desk was missing an end cap for the metal brace. Not the end of the world but it does make the desk not 100% perfect, but still love the construction and will recommend.

[3] Overall my table is great. Takes a little work to crank up. Down is easy. Doesn't say Luxor anywhere, why? Trying to hide the brand name? Why hide your brand name? Black Oak is very dark almost black, but wood grained. Still nice looking. A little wobbly side to side in full up position. Down it is super rigid. It works great so far after 1 week.
