Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the Zeiss HD42 bag fit an older Nikon 7 X 35 73 degree binoculars?

A: It is a bit short, even for the old Zeiss binoculars that I have.

Q: 2. How do I install this? Does the cap just come off to expose the threads?

A: In binoculars having threads, you first remove the cap, to expose the bino's threads. The pin threads into the bino's female, then you tighten the lever. You will need a camera plate that fits your tripod.

Q: 3. Does it fit the Zeiss 10x42 Victory T* FL? - is it the same cordura case that came in with those binoculars when new?

A: So I compared the sizes of the two Binoculars. The Victory Pair that you have are 6.8 x 4.9", and the Conquest Models are 6.5 x 4.7". So I believe this case would work with the Pair that you have. You might just have to screw the eyecup's down with the covers on top. However this case should work.

A: The interior is roughly 5x4.5x2.5 inches.

[9.1 x 7 x 3.25"] I have had this case for over a decade. I was very sad when I misplaced it and had to buy a replacement. Over 10 years of rough use, the case showed no signs of wear. I would highly recommend this case to anyone.

[0.52 lb] I bought this case more than three years ago for my Zeiss Terra ED 8x42 binoculars. It has more than proven itself as a top quality, rugged cordura case. I keep it clean and in a cool place, protecting my Terra EDs in my binocular closet. Because of this, it shows no wear like all my cases and binoculars. It's the exact same cordura case as the one that came with my Zeiss 8x42 HD Conquests, An attractive case with the Zeiss logo on it. A great case and a great purchase for my Terra EDs!

[9.1 x 7 x 3.25"] Got this to replace the thin leather pouch that came with my 2000 binocs. It fits them snugly and has room for the neoprene strap. Nicely padded, light and except for the wrong logo, perfect for my needs. Price was very good. The perfect accessory to a lifetime all-purpose warranty.

[9.1 x 7 x 3.25"] a lot of thought and care went into the design and build.  it is very well made, and no doubt in my mind it will hold the biggest bino out there very securely.  Stud mounts onto the bino, slides into adapter where it clicks into place, then you push down on the lever to pressure lock the stud effectively giving you a double locking.

[0.52 lb] This mount is very well made, simple to install on the binocular (in my case Conquest 10X HD) with a 1/4-20 female thread on the bottom. Added bonus, the base is tapered to fit Manfrotto tripod quick disconnect mount, which I use. If you get tired of hand help, this works great.

Installations is simple: 1) push button on mount and remove the stud form the mount. 2) remove the dust cap on the hinge of the binoc. 3) Screw the mount stud into the binoc and when snug, screw the small set screw to keep stud from un-threading. 4) Secure the mount to a tripod of your choice. 5) Simply slide binoc with stud into the mount and ensure the top button engages it to lock. 6) lift the lever to secure the binoc tight to the mount and lock the pitch (cant).

To remove, lower lever, push button and slide off the binoc. No need to remove the stud on the binoc. I mention this because a previous review mentions you need to remove the stud every time. You do not - maybe this will help them.

All in all a great product!

[Cordura nylon] I purchased this bag to replace my Vortex OEM bag, which continued to pop open in the field. I love all my Vortex gear, but with their bag...hello.

This little Z guy protects my precious binocs in all field conditions. Zeiss rocks!
