[5 x 3.3 x 2.3"] It's ID-11 powder developer, in a box, to make 5 liters of stock solution. It functions similarly to D76, in that dev times are available and good results are achievable with nearly all black and white films out there. Mixing is fairly straightforward, though it requires an appropriately sized mixing vessel. Using warm distilled water and a hand-operated stirring stick, it took a few minutes for the last few grains of powder to dissolve, but they eventually did. I keep the stock solution in 5 separate 1-liter bottles, and although it's only been a week, I see no effects of oxidation. (Ilfosol 3, my previous developer of choice, had noticeable oxidation after the first day.) The instructions (which are printed on the inside of the box) are clear and concise, though additional info is available on the Ilford website. Because the box has all of the most important information available at a glance, I trimmed it, flattened it, and pinned it up by my workbench. The results with Plus line films (HP5, FP4, etc) are consistent and well balanced. Fine grain, full tonal range, etc. It has none of the clumpiness of grain that Ilfosol 3 tends to get with HP5. All in all, it's a standard, well-known powder developer formulation that behaves very consistently from day-to-day. At this price, it is comparable to Ilfosol 3, even for one-shot use--but it can be reused for greater economy, especially if you do not push process frequently. 5

[Red] I used to rely on D76 but now that I'm processing in smaller batches the 1 liter packaging of ID-11 is more cost effective. And it turns out to give me pretty much identical results. 5

[Red] I've been using this with my SMART-21 and it works great when only black text is needed. I use this primarily to print the backs of cards and then I use the full color ribbon to do the fronts. 5
