Waves Abbey Road Reverb Plates Plugin (Native/SoundGrid)from Waves Abbey Road Reverb Plates Plugin (Native/SoundGrid)is a plug-in modeling four legendary EMT 140 reverb plates housed at Abbey Road Studios. Introduced in the 1950's, these historic plates were used by the Beatles and Pink Floyd, and on countless seminal pop, rock, classical, and film recordings over the years, and continue to be used to this day. In addition to the plate modeling, the harmonic distortion of both the drive and output amps have been modeled, as well as the individual plate/damper behaviors.

Installed to complement the fixed reverberation times of the studios' echo chambers, the four EMT 140 units, with their variable reverb time of up to six seconds, were tweaked to perfection by Abbey Road's technical engineers. To keep noise to a minimum, EMI's Central Research Laboratories designed unique hybrid solid-state drive amps for Plates A, B, and C. Plate D was fully valve-powered on both drive and output stages, allowing for a versatile array of sonic characteristics, from warm and dark, to lush and smooth.

A: First, this is a very professional and high quality! The D ring is also a great plus. I replaced all my plates with this and other better quality screws. The screws that come along the plates are so cheap.

Q: 2. Can I use this D ring with a Sirui C-10S Ball Head mounting plate?

A: YEs, Works with the TY-70X Plate, for one. Propbably others.

Q: 3. can I use these screws to screw a Sirui TY-5DIIIL L-Bracket Plate to my Canon 5D III camera?

A: The d ring has a clearance requirement of 3/4 over the width of the ring handle. This would require your mountung slot/hole to have at least 7/8 clearance to rotate

Q: 4. Can I use this with the OBEN QR 10 plate?

A: Don't know since I don't have the OBEN QR plate. It fits on an old Manfroto plate, but not on the Markins plates I currently use. Sorry I couldn't help.

Q: 5. Does the D-ring lock to one side so that it doesn't swing down and get in the way when you're trying to seat the plate in the head of the tripod?

A: The ring will stay in place as it is tight enough so that it doesn't jiggle around.

A: Hi, I bought this D-ring about six months ago thinking I would be able to switch between plates and move my camera from my tripod to my gimbal quickly. Unfortunately the head on this D-ring was to thick and wouldn't give me enough clearance between the plate and the tripod head. This was just my experience with this product. Maybe you'll have better luck. I was also using the 504 long.
