Powering 240W into 70V, 4 Ohms, or 8 Ohms systems, the Speco PBM240AT Mixer Amplifier with AM/FM Tunerfrom Speco PBM240AT Mixer Amplifier with AM/FM Tuneris a public address amplifier and mixer designed for any situation in which music-on-hold (MOH) is a must. This amplifier features a tuner module that plays AM and FM signals, both of which can be connected to antennas on the rear panel. For inputs, the PBM240AU sports three pairs of RCA auxiliary channels, three balanced microphones, one RS-232 (for console control) and a terminal TEL input. In addition to its five 70V zones for commercial speakers and its 4/8 Ohm outputs, the PBM240AT also gives you the option to route outgoing signal via RCA or XLR connections.

Turn your attention to the front panel and you'll notice a panoply of controls. Note, for instance, the six zone selection buttons; with these, you can turn specific speaker runs on or off. The front panel is adorned with level controls over each input, as well as a master volume output, and an input selector for the auxiliary channel. Use this feature to choose between a sound-source plugged into the device or the included tuner module.

Additionally, the PBM240AT provides connection possibilities for telephone paging and music-on-hold applications, including a priority paging switch which mutes all other channels when signal is passing through the microphone 1 input. This unit includes an IR remote control and a set of rack-mounting hardware.

[320 W ] I have purchased 4 of these radios. We have one in our master bathroom. One in our Westie's bedroom for her to sleep with. One in my wife's sewing room and one to take to the patio. I do not have any complaints about any of them. I would recommend this radio to anyone. 5

[5] I purchased this radio to replace one that had stopped working. It is in my home office. It replaced a radio I'd paid 8 times the amount for. The sound is great for a radio in this size and price range - comparable to the more expensive radio it replaced! I am very happy with this purchase. 5

[320 W ] I did a little of research to try to find an analog tuning radio at an affordable price. Reason being I live in the mountains and radio reception, just like cell phone service is not as good. I read that analog tunning is better. This little radio has been excellent both at tunning and at having a good reception, even in the mountains! I even picked up a station from 50+ miles away where my city was on the very edge of their coverage map. It came in clear, and I was able to tune into that station. I bought this portable radio so I cut sit on the patio with my classical music while I work. The quality of sound is pretty decent. During a hurricane we were left weeks without electricity and all the daily relief efforts updates were on the radio. Battery is still working. We would have daily meetings at my community pool to listen to the relief effort updates on my portable radio and it was loud and clear for the 10 to 15 people gathered there every day, I didn't even turn the volume all the way up and it was loud enough for everyone to hear in the group. Overall, I highly recommend this radio for tunning in, reception, decent sound, volume, decent battery usage or plugin, and portability. 5

[Tabletop] Was bought for my Dad who has cognitive issues and cannot operate complex devices. He listens to it every day and it gives him great joy. He has it set to WQXR and loves the classical music which is very sensitive to static. Dad lives in an old building with thick walls and poor cell phone reception. This means that in order to get reception this good, the antenna is very powerful. 5

[Tabletop] After 23 years my Rolls RS78B bit the dust so I replaced it with this unit. Much better reception (now with a uni outdoor antenna), the RDS display is nice and there are more presets. Like very much. 5
