The black Bogen 6.5" Passive Ceiling Speaker 75W Blackis a 6.5" 75W passive ceiling speaker designed to deliver full-range frequency reproduction for clear, intelligible foreground sound and speech reinforcement in offices, retail environments, transportation facilities, and more. It features a computer-matched venting system that aids the speaker in achieving a full bass output and a low-profile housing for installation flexibility.

The HFCS1LPB utilizes a coaxial speaker design with a 6.5" polypropylene cone woofer and a 0.75" polycarbonate dome tweeter, yielding a frequency response of 78 Hz to 19 kHz (-10 dB) and high power handling capability. A front-mounted transformer tap selector provides easy access to a variety of 70V/100V power taps and a 16-ohm transformer bypass setting.

Wiring and installation is simplified thanks to the snap-lock input connector and integral swing-out clamps. The speaker is supplied with an input terminal cover with knockouts for additional protection of the connections.

A: The K&M ceiling mounts can support a maximum load capacity of up to 55.1 lb / 25 kg.

Q: 3. Where did it make?

A: JBL manufacturers its products in several different parts of the world but does not specify where individual products such as the JBL Control 5 Passive 6.5" 2-Way 175W Loudspeakers are made.

Q: 4. what amplifier would work well for running 2 sets of these?

A: Any stereo amplifier with power rated at 4 ohms load, and with connections for two sets of speakers. Or, any cheap Home Theater receiver, with one set connected as front channels, and other set as back channel, and surround mode set to All Channel Stereo , or 4 Channel Stereo . In speaker setup set center channel and subwoofer to none . Since it is multichannel amp, Home Theater receivers don't need to be capable of driving 4 Ohms loads.

Q: 5. Can I connect 2 of these speakers to a computer?

A: These speakers require a Supply Voltage of 24 V DC and would not be suitable for direct connection to a computer.

A: You will use the black lead for common (earth/ground) and then whichever tap you choose to use (25v 70v or 8 ohm) and connect the corresponding lead to the amp.

Q: 8. can this product be used with a hard lid ceiling?

A: Although designed for drop-ceilings. I do not see why it could not be used in a hard lid ceiling (gypsum board) installation.

Q: 9. If I wanted in pairs I just make the quantity 2?

A: The SoundTube Entertainment RS600i ships as a single unit if you require a pair, you will need to select a quantity of 2.

Q: 10. is there away to control the volume if it doesnt have a knob?

A: The Bogen Communications S86T725 requires a compatible amplifier for power and volume control.

[15 x 14 x 11"] Great sound, easy install, bi-way capable. Didn't try it but it's cool to have it in case you need. Loud and clear sound. Only issues was BH letting me order 4 and they only had 2 in stock. They had me wait over a month until finally I cancel the rest of the order and bought from Adorama the other 2 speakers. 5

[Black] We used this product in the ceiling of our conference room. These speakers are VERY loud for only having a 1-watt amplifier built in. You will NEED to purchase separately, the 24 volt power supply for EACH speaker in use in order to install these and have them function. Installation is super-easy and requires NO tools if mounting in suspended ceiling tiles. I highly recommend these. 5

[1] The PRJS66's are being used on a 10-speaker 70-volt PA system. They are suspended in an open ceiling that is painted black so they virtually disappear. They sound great, look great and are a terrific value! 5

[ABS, Steel] Purchased this unit for my new basement construction. I'm blown away by the clear sound that comes from it. Mind you i have bose through my house but decided to try this and i love it. Will be buying more to complete my 7.1 setup. 5

[Bass-Reflex] These speakers were used as front stage speakers for my projector theater in a small-mid sized room. I'm only pumping 30 watts/ch and these speakers sound pretty great... The highs can be a bit tinny, and the low end bass not so great, but crossed over, it'll suit just fine. 5

[32 W] How we use this product: We purchased this product to use in a classroom (25'by 30' with 8 ft ceiling). We have a computer connected to this projector and wanted to pass sound through the projector to this speaker. Things that are great: Easy installation - Sounds Great - Sound dispersion of 120 degrees helps hearing it very well all over classroom - Looks very nice attached to ceiling - Sound can also be controlled by projector remote control and/or computer volume control - Volume control on speaker helps balance - Simple directions - Great price! One thing that we have learned is that we can connect several of these speakers together. I also asked the company about connecting a second speaker to this one - they indicated that it is possible to daisy chain up to 6 of these together. (Ask company support for more details.) To complete the install - you will need Bogen Communications PRS2403 24V DC, 300 mA Power Supply and either speaker wire (18 gauge is recommended) and a 3.5mm connector (solder or screw type) or one can purchase a cable with bare wire on one end and 3.5mm connector on the other end. This is used between the speaker and projector audio output. It is a great speaker and it is working great in our school classroom. I would highly recommend this product. 5

[2-Way] Never hear much about bogen, so i have to say inam pleasantly surprised at how good these speakers sound. They provide great coverage and have a true sound. The install was my favorite part of the product. Literally as simple as replacement of the tile with the speaker and then run the speaker cable. I would definitely purchase these again. 5

[1] I have installed 14 of these drop in speakers in various rooms to date. From classrooms to squad rooms these speakers work amazingly well. The ease of use for drop ceilings is one of the main reasons I started using this product. Just drop-in, run a speaker wire and your good to go. I have paired these speakers with Pyle Audio Amplifiers in every installation so far and am not disappointed. Would recommend to anyone! 5
