A: The StarTech USB 3.0 Flash Memory Multi-Card Reader/Writer with USB-C has slots for different kinds of memory cards. It does not have memory and cannot be formatted. The memory card is removed from the camera and is placed in the card reader to download the files to your computer. You should always format the memory card in your camera.

[3.3' / 1 m] One interesting note with these adapters is you should plug everything into them before plugging them into your computer. I use this on a computer with a full sized DisplayPort output, and I often plug in Apple Mini DisplayPort adapters to connect other displays to my machine. This works reliably, and we have not experienced any problems with these adapters. Monitors go to sleep and wake up as they're supposed to, and there are no loose connection problems. 5

[3.3' / 1 m] There are probably other USB-C to DisplayPort cables that will work fine with Eizo monitors but, as far as I know, StarTech's is the only one that Eizo has tested and approved. I use mine to connect a CG2420 to a MacBook Pro. It works perfectly. 5
