The Kirk KLP-360-2NL Lens Plate for NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8 VRfrom Kirk KLP-360-2NL Lens Plate for NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8 VRis an Arca-type compatible quick release plate designed for use with the AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8 VR and AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II lenses when used with the original Nikon lens foot.

The plate is constructed of anodized aluminum, making it both scratch and corrosion resistant. It features a variable aluminum lip that may be mounted at either a 90 or 30° angle. Removing the lip will make the plate universally compatible with almost any lens foot, but with the loss of anti-twist capability.

The dual captive 1/4"-20 screws for the lens foot are constructed of stainless steel, making them equally as durable as the plate itself. Two included smaller screws can be used as safety stops to prevent accidental slippage within most Arca-type clamps. The plate also has three additional 1/4"-20 mounting holes for better positioning on the bottom of the lens foot.

You cannot use both screws to secure the plate to the foot as the spacing for the screws is farther apart on the foot. Using the optional edge guard is necessary to prevent unintentional skewing of the plate.

[Aluminum] I ordered two different plates, one from Amazon, and one from B&H. The first plate only had one screw for attachment and seemed short to me. The B&H plate offered multiple screws, was longer, and just a more solid piece of metal! 5

[0.2 lb] I was a little confused by the stop piece, not sure what it was for, but figured it out by looking closely at the diagram in the very brief instructions. It might not be necessary because the plate is held securely onto the foot of my Nikon 200mm f/4 lens by two screws. Solid product. 5

[2x 1/4"-20 Male] Switching all of my gear over to QD and needed to replace a couple of standard Kirk plates with the QD versions. Many years of great experience with my prior Kirk plates so naturally, I went back for the QD versions. Solid construction and I have a higher level of confidence in these than I would a third party/no name plate. 5

[2x 1/4"-20 Male] Can't go back after using the quick release/QD plates by Krik. Well build, and easy to adapt to my equipment. I use this plate attached to my Nikkor Z 180-600mm lens foot. I have a strap qith a QD fitting. Single point camera disconnect is easy and convenient. Highly reccomended for a lens foot needing a QD and arca swiss plate for tripod use. Love it. 5

[2x 1/4"-20 Male] Extremely well-made, good fitting lens plate for my new Sony FE 100-400mm zoom lens. I use this on my RRS B-55 ballhead. Currently, Really Right Stuff doesn't make a lensplate for this lens and I was pleasantly surprised that Kirk did. I've had issues with mom RRS plates fitting my ballhead in the past, but this plate by Kirk is rock solid. Very pleased. 5

[0.2 lb] I bought a 3/8-16 = 1/4-20 reducer to use both screws to mount this plate onto the original tripod foot on my Sony 200-600. Kirk on their website recommends a longer foot for this lens and that foot has only one screw, but it would stick out by about an inch past the tripod foot (while this one is almost exactly the right length) and the mount wouldn't be as secure as with two screws, even with their anti-twist bar. I'm very happy with this setup so far. The pair of central screw holes are close enough to the center of mass of the 200-600+A7RV combo, so they are suitable for something like BlackRapid's FR-5 screw-in connection points. 5

[0.2 lb] This plate is what nikon should do from the factory. The Arca Swiss is a must and the QD connector makes it a quick safe way to carry the lens. The quality is also quite nice. 5
